“Flexible hosting, great CTAs”
Pros
One thing that has worked really well with Vidyard Hosting is how much cleaner it makes video management without forcing us to bring storage, delivery and player infrastructure into the frontend. Our video library stays centralized and we only embed videos on the pages that actually need them. That setup also helps marketing move faster since they can replace a demo without needing us to rebuild the rest of the page around it. The CTA features have also been genuinely useful because the video can guide viewers to a next step instead of just ending and leaving them there. On Teams, being able to customize CTAs with HTML and CSS, plus add forms, calendars and other interactive pieces, has made a real difference. We used that in a product demo by placing a meeting CTA right after the part that highlighted the main result, instead of making users go back and search for a button somewhere else. Theater Mode and Picture in Picture have also made longer demos much more workable. They might seem like minor player features but they really help when someone wants to keep watching or listening while navigating the rest of the site. Automatic captions on newly uploaded videos have been valuable for accessibility and for people watching on mute as well. From a frontend standpoint, I also really like getting these capabilities directly from the player instead of having to support another custom UI layer that would eventually become our responsibility.
Cons
It does a good job on the delivery side but frontend performance can still take a hit if multiple players load immediately, space is not reserved properly or videos get placed above the fold when they are not actually necessary. On our side we still need to use lazy loading where it makes sense, keep dimensions consistent and avoid spinning up several players that a lot of users will never even scroll down to. It definitely cuts down the infrastructure burden but it does not eliminate the need for thoughtful frontend performance decisions.

Using it is not a hassle and it really helps my message stand out.
Cons
At times recipient inbox filters can block it.

“Virtual voicemail that works”
Pros
It looks a lot like leaving a virtual voicemail which makes it incredibly useful. It's especially powerful right now since everyone is being pulled in a thousand different directions.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. My previous review still holds true.

“useful tracking tool”
Pros
Uploading and sharing videos with it has been a really positive experience and the view tracking is especially useful. It's been incredibly helpful for understanding how far our recorded webinars are reaching.
Cons
To be honest I have not run into any downsides. It does exactly what I need for my business.

“slow editing”
Pros
The editing tools and thumbnail creation give me a lot more flexibility when it comes to personalizing videos. Being able to track opens and views is also really useful and helps me see how people are engaging with what I share.
Cons
At times the editing process takes longer than I'd like. Faster capture would make a big difference especially when I am creating and sending out a larger number of videos.

“Would happily use again”
Pros
Our team stopped using Vidyard because our internal processes changed, not because there was anything wrong with the platform. I still think it's a really strong tool and the decision to move away from it had nothing to do with its capabilities. If the need comes up again, I'd definitely use it without hesitation.
Cons
There really aren't any product related complaints from my side. We simply aren't using it anymore and there have not been any new updates for us to comment on since our usage ended.

“Cleaner UI, better sharing”
Pros
Working with it has become more convenient now especially with the recent UI improvements that made everything seem more user friendly.
Cons
From what I can tell external viewers are now able to watch videos using their own email without having to create a account. If that's indeed how it works now, then I really don't have much else to complain about.

“friendly video platform”
Pros
Using it was a positive experience because the platform is very user friendly and easy to work with.
Cons
At the corporate level though it became difficult to keep using since a lot of companies had the videos blocked which meant they wouldn't play.

“Perfect for customer videos”
Pros
It works really well with Front, Outlook and HubSpot which makes it super convenient to share videos with customers whenever I need to. I am definitely a fan of how integrated it with the tools I already use is easy.
Cons
The free plan is pretty limited since it only includes 5 videos per month and I also cannot upload higher resolution videos recorded on my phone.

“Limited editing, distracting recorder”
Pros
Using the Vidyard Chrome extension, I can put together demos pretty quickly and the whole tool is easy to use. Getting everything set up in the beginning was simple too.
Cons
During recording the video tools pop up on screen and become distracting. On top of that the editing options are very limited basically just trimming or clipping so it's tough to produce demos that look professional.

“Free video tool delivers”
Pros
One thing I really like is that it's still free, the video quality comes out really well and the extension works without any hassle.
Cons
The AI side still doesn't feel very developed. It would be really useful to have an AI avatar option for recordings or even create recordings without having to film myself although the quality for that isn't quite there yet. Dubbing would also be a fantastic addition.

“Quick video sharing wins”
Pros
Sending quick videos to customers with it has been really convenient because the platform is simple to use. Having a shareable link makes the whole process even better since it takes the hassle out of getting videos to people. The feature I like most is being able to include a video thumbnail in the link which adds a nice touch. Getting started was not a hassle and the setup instructions were clear and easy to follow. Altogether, those things have made it a very positive tool to use.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind.

“Awful setup, never again”
Pros
It gives you a simple way to host and store videos which I did like especially since there are no ads on the platform.
Cons
That said the infrastructure is awful and after dealing with how incompetent they were, I would never sign up with them again.
