The software offers a wide array of features.

Flexible WMS, customizable for many business needs

Pros

The installation and implementation process was smooth and customer service was readily available to assist with any questions. The system has been customizable to fit the needs of our 17,000 sq ft warehouse and is scalable for future expansion.

Cons

We had challenges in receiving products in case packs and shipping them out in varying quantities as our products didn't have GTINs on the outer cases. This led to additional work to find solutions.

helpful and versatile solution

Pros

We have been using Da vinci from Wolin Design group for over 15 years, participating in its evolution. Davinci Unified (DVU) is highly adaptable and scalable, ideal for our 3PL operations. It's versatile enough to support both large scale distribution with detailed product tracking and smaller, less complex operations. Its reporting capabilities and EDI integration support make it a great fit for us.

Cons

When we used to host the software on our own server, we faced occasional downtime and required significant assistance from Wolin's support and engineering teams. Now that we're on the cloud-based DVU system, downtime is rare and we need much less support regarding server issues.

Goodbye to it!

Pros

The demo initially impressed me but I found a lot of fluff and after selecting it, I got numerous warnings from professionals with experience on the platform.

Cons

The pricing and support structure as well as hardware integration, require you to complete online training and a checklist before going live. This process takes 30 to 45 days, which is impractical when you're handling daily operations. It's a frustrating experience and it can result in significant financial losses.

Excellent customer support and regular updates

Pros

What stands out most about Da Vinci is its adaptability. As a 3PL managing multiple warehouses and different customers, the system has been great at integrating various processes. I've had to make custom requests and their customer support team has been fantastic at implementing them.

Cons

While the system's flexibility is advantageous, it also makes it somewhat cumbersome to navigate overall. Da Vinci does break down tasks into modules so training someone in a specific section like Receiving is easy. However each module, from "Shipping" to "Inventory Management" to "EDI Allocation," is a separate unit requiring its own learning, making it tough to train truly proficient "Power Users" across the whole system. That said, I've seen other WMS systems that handle this much worse than Da Vinci.

Incredibly powerful solution

Pros

We have yet to find a business challenge DaVinci can't address. The platform is highly configurable and can support any requirement we have encountered. We rely on it for mission-critical clients and it performs reliably day after day. Their support team is excellent at resolving any issues promptly.

Cons

We are excited to see the new and improved web interface, which I understand is expected to be released in early 2018.

Worth the money

Pros

Da Vinci offers a broad array of features and functionality for 3PL providers, including EDI integration and serial number tracking for shipments and scales effectively as the business grows.

Cons

The GUI could use some improvements but overall, it serves its purpose. The layout is great, visually easy to navigate and suitable for quick information and daily workflow tasks.

boosted our productivity, visibility, and customer integration

Pros

Da Vinci is a highly customizable, multi-user system that supports a wide range of product types and features a well-organized PostgreSQL database, allowing for easy custom reporting with Crystal Reports. It offers full EDI integration for seamless data exchange with customers, and its intuitive user interface makes it easy to track orders from receipt to delivery. Real-time barcode scanning and validation ensure accuracy in both inbound EDI ASNs and outbound orders, reducing errors. The Wolin Design Group regularly updates the system and provides responsive support, making Da Vinci a robust solution capable of handling high transaction volumes efficiently for our 3PL warehousing, rail, and truck operations since 2012.

Cons

There are many ways to configure each customer and product, so it requires careful planning to ensure each setup is as efficient as possible.

Using Da Vinci Business Suite for over 10 years and it's been a great tool

Pros

We constantly adapt to meet our customers' needs. Da Vinci provides a WMS/TMS system with an engine that supports integration and allows for custom "apps" and reports. The product continually evolves to accommodate the changing technical landscape of logistics.

Cons

It would be helpful if they offered a CRM interface for clients to interact with the WMS/TMS. Da Vinci provides an excellent visibility tool called CartonLogic, but it would be ideal for our customers to manage their Website, Order Processing, and QB Integration through a CRM that directly integrates with Da Vinci.

Loved working with the Wolin Design Group , we wouldn't be where we are without them

Pros

I really like the flexibility this software offers. It's highly customizable to meet our business needs without costing an arm and a leg. Using Da Vinci has supported our growth without any major financial burden. One of the standout features for me is their customer support team, who are always quick to address any concerns or provide solutions. We're currently using their WMS module, which makes the picking, packing, and shipping process seamless while maintaining thorough records. Additionally, we provide our clients with CartonLogic, which lets them track their products in real-time, ensuring transparency and reducing the need for constant inquiries. These benefits, among others, have fostered a strong and collaborative relationship between us and Wolin Design Group.

Cons

This software is quite comprehensive, with many capabilities. The challenge lies in learning and remembering all the functions it offers. There are times when I realize a task I have been doing manually could have been automated by the software. I'm constantly discovering new features it can handle. Some parts of the system, particularly if you're hosting your own servers, can be quite technical, which could be difficult for a company without a dedicated IT expert. However, Wolin's support team is incredibly helpful in guiding us through the more complex aspects of the software.

Very collaborative team

Pros

The software enables us to meet the shipping requirements for all major retailers, handling label compliance, packing lists and small parcel shipping requirements.

Cons

Printing orders for inventory that's not in stock is not straightforward. Orders that need to be routed before we have the inventory available are quite common in the industry.

Loving it so far from the past 10 years

Pros

The ease of training, logical structure and flexibility stand out. The system is designed for basic use but allows for scaling to more detailed KPIs and complex pick/pack needs. It's always evolving with regular updates, keeping it modern and efficient.

Cons

There is a lack of clarity regarding the depth of each upgrade. While the updates are clear improvements, I believe something more detailed should be sent to the main contact at the company to explain the specific changes in each update.

Everything's been smooth and it's meeting our company needs

Pros

It's user friendly and we can utilize the warehousing, transportation and accounting features. Setting it up was simple and customer service and tech support have been instrumental in helping our business grow.

Cons

It occasionally experiences glitches but these are rare. When they do happen, it's difficult to identify the cause since replicating the issue often doesn't work.

Over 10 years with Da Vinci , still very satisfied with the WMS and TMS

Pros

Key features include WMS, TMS, flexibility in configuration, Crystal Report writing for custom reports, RF capability and a web application. You can choose between PostgreSQL or SQL database. Customer service is excellent.

Cons

There are some minor issues on our wish list but nothing that constitutes a major setback. The TMS is currently designed mainly for domestic transportation.

Easy to use tool with many functionalities

Pros

Ease of training is crucial for us but our customers most appreciate the dynamic online portal that provides live inventory counts. This feature has been essential in selling warehouse space.

Cons

Our management keeps pushing us to explore other options, but my research continually points to Da Vinci as the best choice for us. :)
