Love using it

Pros

This system is quite functional and allow us to handle every part of our warehouse operations so easy. Also it's easy to use and covers everything we need.

Cons

From an analytics standpoint, there weren't as many out of the box reports available in our version. It felt to me that most reports would need extra development.

Easy to work with

Pros

SOLOCHAIN software is really user-friendly and training new people on it is simple. The setup process and support teams have been great partners too. They work closely with us to make sure the system fits our needs perfectly.

Cons

Like with any highly customizable system, many options are available but we really have to take the time to figure out exactly what we want. Otherwise, we will need extra adjustments later to make it work how we need it.

Support team is great

Pros

I really like the strong partnership with both the development and support teams. They are always there to help and make improvements when needed.

Cons

The ERP integration could have used more attention. We have been able to improve it now but during implementation, we were under a lot of pressure to meet deadlines, so some things got overlooked, especially testing enough different scenarios.

One of the best WMS options

Pros

Both the desktop and handheld versions are easy to learn and use. Also the system is quite stable, highly customizable and can grow with us. Even the interface is very visual which makes it easy for desktop users to create custom views. Features like Yard and Dock, Work Order Planning and Item Traceability make managing the warehouse more efficient and, honestly kind of fun!

Cons

I really wish there was more focus on customer specific KPI dashboards. With such a diverse customer base, a single dashboard just doesn't do the best for everyone. Also it would be great to have a solution that lets each customer access the exact information they need right at their fingertips. That kind of flexibility would make a huge difference.

A highly capable tool!

Pros

SOLOCHAIN WMS software is user-friendly, integrates easily with other systems and is quite flexible. Plus, training new users is quick and simple.

Cons

Migrating to a new version is a time taking process. Like it's not always as smooth as we'd like.

Reliable software

Pros

Customer support is always responsive and helpful whenever we reach out. That level of service makes a big difference.

Cons

We customized the system quite a bit and at first, that caused some issues. As it took a while to get things running smoothly.

A dependable WMS with Generix

Pros

The ease of use is a huge plus and the Generix team is fully engaged. They always look for ways to create win-win situations. As our business grows, they grow with us.

Cons

At times, it felt like we were helping develop features that were more suitable to their bigger clients rather than something that worked best for us.

Meets all our needs

Pros

SOLOCHAIN WMS is quite versatile and reliable. It's easy to use and all the functions are well-designed. The customer service team is quick to respond whenever needed. Plus, we can customize different settings to fit our specific needs.

Cons

The billing section of the application needs improvements. Also, when we roll out new builds in production, we sometimes lose our personalized settings, which is annoying.

A WMS that delivers

Pros

WMS is fully configurable and really easy to use. Plus it adapts well to our different warehouse setups.

Cons

At the time we used it, there was no interleaving functionality in the WMS which was a drawback for our operations.

Customizable with strong tracking options

Pros

I love how everything is traceable and the multiple configuration options give us the flexibility we need. And it easily adapts to our operations.

Cons

There are definitely some development deadlines that need better handling. Also certain core behaviors really need improvements.

Makes our job simple

Pros

It makes tracking inventory so much easier for us. Moving parts between buildings and rooms is also smooth and exporting data to Excel is a simple process.

Cons

What we liked least was that we didn't have full control over the database. Any customizations or changes we needed had to go through Generix and most of those came with an extra cost. That added up over time.

Packed with essential features

Pros

Generix WMS (formerly Sologlobe WMS) is highly customizable and packed with great features that cover everything a warehouse might need. It's almost at the same level as top-tier WMS systems but at a much lower cost and with a userfriendly interface. Unlike many competitors, it offers great customization for even the most complex warehouse setups. Most settings can be adjusted through configurations, so we don't have to force our warehouse to fit the software as it adapts to us. We can set up our own pick paths using different methods and we are not stuck with just one way of doing things. We can even switch picking methods on an order-by-order basis. The same flexibility applies to receiving, putaway, shipping and more. Plus, it integrates with third-party solutions for labels and shipping which makes it even more powerful.

Cons

Like any product, Generix WMS has its downsides such as at times support is slow and sometimes the wait times for issue resolution are way too long. Integrating with ERP and business systems is complex and expensive. Since you can't access Generix WMS's code, you have to rely on their team for a lot of the work. Upgrading it is also complicated. Once you install the system, Generix basically forks off a new code base and customizes it for you kind of like a Linux distro. But that means each installation becomes its own version, separate from the original. Since integrations aren't built in, upgrades take a lot of time and money because every previous customization has to be reviewed. In my experience, upgrades do not happen often because of how complex they are.

Perfect fit for our complex business

Pros

Solochain WMS is simply amazing as it offers full functionality and easy customization options. Also it fit perfectly into our complex business model and our staff picked it up quickly thanks to its user-friendly design.

Cons

The out of the box reporting could be better. That said, we're already using a third-party dashboard and reporting system for other platforms, so we plan to integrate Solochain into that as our centralized reporting solution anyway.

I like it!!!

Pros

Well the flexibility of it is a huge advantage. We deal with various products and manufacturing processes and we were able to configure it to fit each unique scenario.

Cons

One major drawback is that there aren't many canned reports available right from the start. But I guess thats just part of having a highly customizable system.

Loving the experience so far

Pros

Since it is a cloud-based solution, there's no infrastructure cost, which is quite beneficial. Also it covers many important business processes right out of the box. The vendor's implementation team did a fantastic job, and overall the system is easy to use.

Cons

Depending on the change request type, some of the "non-out-of-the-box" gaps took longer than expected to be addressed.

Helps in solving issues

Pros

I really like the level of detail Solochain provides. Being able to track inventory movement at a pallet level has been very helpful for troubleshooting and solving issues. We can now track consumption in real-time, so when inventory runs low, everything keeps flowing smoothly instead of getting held up like it did in NAV. Also the system has made tracking much easier, preventing month to month issues.

Cons

At times it can be tricky for us to understand how all the software actions affect NAV. You really need someone who knows both systems well to keep everything properly synced.
