“Accounting Seed can be better

Pros

I like that every part of the system is set up the same way, so it does not get confusing to use.

Cons

Well it is not the best but I come to know that the financial statements, especially the balance sheet do not quite meet our needs and could be made more user friendly.

Its integration into Salesforce and the potential for automation are things I really like.

Cons

Some of the Visualforce pages for certain tasks are very slow to refresh. Even though I am using a modern computer with an SSD and 900 Mbps internet, I often find myself waiting 8 to 20 seconds for a refresh before I can proceed.

Pros

It integrates pretty easily and smoothly with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. The interface is consistent with Salesforce which makes it easy to deploy and enhance. It covers all the essential needs of SMBs including recurring billing.

Cons

The slow release of new features and updates that customers are asking for is a concern. There is also limited out of the box integration with key systems for automating accounting processes like cash applications and a lack of seamless integration with various banks for processing customer payments. However, I have noticed they are becoming more proactive in addressing gaps and responding to popular customer requests.

Accounting Seed is user friendly and has a great interface that is pretty easy to navigate.

Cons

I cannot modify certain aspects for example reports which is a major drawback as per me.

The software offers a wide range of features in one place so now I do not feel a need to juggle in between different systems for accounting, billing and reporting.

Well, the software reporting section needs some customization to meet specific user requirements.

Setting up and paying payables is simple and billing is made easier with automatic report attachments straight from Salesforce.

I find it a bit difficult to get accurate reports easily. For example, journal entries are not included in the financial reports which is a problem.

We are in the process of setting up our accounting system and we are really excited to see all four of our business divisions in a single chart of accounts.

There is not something major that I consider as a con but installation process took quite a while.

One of the standout feature of Accounting Seed for me is the integration with Salesforce.

It requires a lot of customization so you should be prepared for spending a significant costs.

The biggest advantage Accounting Seed offers is how easily it communicates with FieldFX which is our main operating system.

Cons

The main drawback I see is that there is no credit card reconciliation application within Accounting Seed. If they added that feature it would simplify things a lot.

Pros

The software is very very reliable and it is quite is impressive. Moreover once you get the hang of it you will get to know that all transaction details are right there. What I really like is that our sales team can assist with data entry and billing timing.

Cons

While the reporting features are great, I did not receive any training on how to use them. Because of its flexibility, having upfront training is important I believe to properly get the information I need.

It is easy to customize many features and functionalities based on your specific business needs.

Usability is a bit of an issue for me as it makes it harder to find what I am looking for.

Accounting Seed software is fairly easy to pick up. My previous experience was mainly with QuickBooks, FreshBooks and a custom-built system.

Cons

The reports are quite unusual. When trying to access basic reports like the P&L or Balance Sheet, the layout and user interface are not ideal.

Pros

Their data base is very helpful mainly if you do not mind searching for answers. Even though It can be a bit tricky to navigate at times but most solutions are there.

Cons

The data base also has outdated materials that are not always removed, so I often have to select through old information to find solutions for the latest version of the software.

Its interface is very user friendly and presents information in a way that is easy to understand.

Cons

If you skip one or two updates you cannot jump straight to the latest one. The package upgrades need to happen in order and this process could be improved. Otherwise everything else works great.

I am very impressed with how it is evolving with each release. The cloud feature, multi ledger support and multi currency features are great additions.

I did prefer if Accounting Seed handled migrations themselves using a specialized division for it.

Accounting Seed software does what it is supposed to do and is simple to configure.

Accounting Seed needs to introduce features that help small businesses save time with warehouse inventory tracking. The current process for shipping serialized items could be redesigned to allow for faster processing.

I like how everything stays within the system which makes it easy to find anything we need with a quick search. We can quickly create and process invoices.

Accounting Seed price is too high and customer service takes some time to respond.

No complaints as the performance of Accounting Seed solid enough to make it one of the best options.

Like with many Salesforce products I feel like we are not using the software to its full potential.
