“Automate Your Bookkeeping

Pros

It helps save time and lets you focus on the core activities that drive your business. For example it can take care of sending invoices to customers and sending email reminders when they are due.

Cons

Its hard to get started and connect the accounting integration. The available plugins are also very limited probably because the software is still new. So I did recommend reaching out to their team for help getting set up.

It took quite a bit of time to launch and there were various issues with transferring credentials over.

The design looks great which clearly show that a lot of effort went into the appearance of the site.

You have changed the URL and where the information is located. Trying to download PDFs or data often gets rejected with error messages. Sometimes Chrome works sometimes not so it is when you have to use Internet Explorer. Also the "click here" download link is gone. There are no direct hyperlinks in emails to the correct site to upload or answer questions. That's enough frustration for me.

Pros

Botkeeper is easy to use and Botkeeper integrates well with all my other accounting tools like QuickBooks and Gusto. Plus they handle my year end tax filings which helps me work more efficiently.

Cons

The only dislike is that Botkeeper cannot handle direct deposits in Russia which I tend to use quite often.

Pros

It saves me a ton of time. Once it is set up, it works well and smoothly. Moreover, it keeps my anxiety in check by always giving me an up to date view of my business which gives me peace of mind.

The free onboarding process took a while and there was a technical issue that was not caught by the automated system. Once I got in touch with customer service they resolved everything and the benefits started to come in.

It is definitely more affordable than hiring an accountant and I love how it blends artificial intelligence with human expertise.

Botkeeper can be a bit tricky to use at times but the good thing is that there is always someone available to call for assistance.

The service is the best and cost effective compared to having a full time bookkeeper on staff. Also it is really easy to email your "bot" if you have any questions or need changes. I also like the new portal that connects to Google Drive.

Cons

I cannot really think of any negatives. They are great to work with and they have taken the accounting tasks off my plate.

Well it is just alright and will serve you well if you do not know much about bookkeeping and are working with a really tight budget.

Botkeeper response times were slow. I struggled to get answers to basic questions about my SLA, bill, contract and so on. There were also regular errors on the GL.

Waiting for a response from our Botkeeper can be annoying at times but its not too bad.

I like how accurate it is and the fact that I can access our books anytime.

I am not a fan of the new OneDrive searches that feel all over the place. I preferred having everything from Botkeeper on one page. Now I have a shared spreadsheet on one page, the portal on another and check printing on yet another. So, switching to OneDrive from the previous single page setup will take some getting used to. I liked how the portal used to open with passwords and all the information right on the front page. I understand this change may make things easier for Botkeeper but it does not feel as user friendly for us. I have also noticed that you cannot print the management report directly from the portal since you need to scroll down to access all the information. If you try to print you wont get everything you need.

It has really streamlined our accounting process by cutting down the time we spend manually approving payments.

No dislikes to mention from my side so far. We have only been using the "up" service for a few months.
