“Budgyt is the BEST!
Pros
I like Budgyt's business model, which let me try it out with our data and most of the setup without an upfront payment. Budgyt is a vast improvement over my bulky multi-company, multi-department Excel spreadsheet. It's great that we can upload detailed actual GL data for users to view. I love that we can easily see prior year monthly actuals and budget on the data sheet for a gut check. The formulas and Excel linking files work flawlessly. Implementation was very smooth, and I haven't needed to contact customer support yet. This product was clearly designed by a professional and is easy enough for a non-financial manager to use. We just started using it for monthly re-forecasting and our annual budget. It's much easier to get input from department heads. Users range from those responsible for a single expense to managers overseeing multiple departments. With the GL import feature, users can see prior actual data without accessing our accounting program, allowing us to forecast how the year will compare to the budget. We can easily run various reports on the dashboard and print to Excel. There are options to add comments on the data sheet. The approval process makes it easy to view what needs approval.
Cons
I faced challenges in restricting user access to the Payroll module by department. Also, we couldn't utilize the approvals feature when using the Balance sheet, which we are contemplating.

Pros
The versatility of Budgyt impresses me, especially how effortlessly I can convert reports into different formats. Almost all ad-hoc report requests can be met with pre-designed templates in Budgyt. Previously, fulfilling such requests involved manual reformatting across different dimensions, periods, and departmental combinations.
Cons
Some report views still show %% that cannot be entirely removed within the program; I have to delete them in Excel afterwards.

I love the Budgyt platform! It's very intuitive and easy to use, with capabilities that allow users to get more detailed and complex as needed. It enables us to enter data in detail or summary, making it incredibly accessible and easy to read for non-finance users, saving our finance team a lot of time. Everyone on the Budgyt team, from sales to support, has been fantastic. The training was great, especially the video academy, which is my favorite and most-used training feature. Onboarding and implementation were very smooth, and ongoing support has been excellent. Aileen, the "Budgyt guru," has been immensely helpful from day one.
Cons
My primary issue' is the addition of several features like dashboards, cash flow, and balance sheet since we started using Budgyt. I'm eagerly anticipating the top item on my wishlist live integration with Sage Intacct API to automate actual data imports. I'm confident it will work seamlessly once implemented.

Their payroll module is highly functional and allows precise management of the payroll aspect of our business regarding the annual budget. For years, I did our budget in Excel, printing out pages for managers to make manual changes that I then had to re-enter into Excel. The most frustrating part was budgeting payroll and benefits, which took 6-8 weeks and was never accurate. Budgyt solved all these issues.
Cons
Initially, the learning curve was steep, but Budgyt provided patient and expert guidance throughout. I use QuickBooks Desktop, and the import process to Budgyt is somewhat basic. Additionally, there is no option to export the Budgyt budget back into QuickBooks. However, I know Budgyt is close to finishing a solution for this.

Cons
It takes time to understand the formulas and how to calculate things, but once you’ve understood, it becomes a lot easier to calculate things. Customer support is great and always there to help, so not much a problem there. They should add budgets greater than a year, which would make things easier for us.

For our non-profit organization Budgyt has been a great help to us. It is highly customizable and managing finance and budgeting stuff has never been this easy before. It has helped us step up our level in the finance department. It is a great software for tracking expenses and managing it.
Cons
The program administrator would have to take a lot of time from weeks to probably months just to know how the software works and all, the administrative learning part is quite a lot to take, but with the help of the tools within this software it can be learnt.
