Pros

Expensify was simple to tailor (both fields and groups for employees), allowing us to align it perfectly with our needs and establish distinct parameters for various employee groups. The mobile functionalities are also incredibly handy.

Cons

I find it beneficial to personalize some of the automated report submissions and set various reminders for employees.

Pros

App functionality, scanning and recognition, is quite clever in remembering my recurring expenses and VAT allocations, saving time on all tasks: from creating reports to finance verifying and processing my reimbursements.

Cons

Easy tool for expense reporting

Pros

The platform is super intuitive, you can upload receipts for scanning or manually input expenses and details. As a user, all I need to do is submit, and the system routes it to the relevant stakeholders for approval before reimbursement.

Cons

It's easy to think I've submitted an expense when it hasn't gone through, but I typically receive a reminder email prompting me to submit.

Good Tool. Gone Woke

Pros

We adored this tool. It performed exceptionally well for our nonprofit, seamlessly integrating with credit cards and payment systems.

Cons

Two things bothered me about Expensify. First, they started integrating DEI into their marketing, prominently featuring BLM materials on their site. I prefer they focus solely on processing receipts rather than pushing progressive ideals. Second, I couldn't connect with my primary banks anymore.

Terrible Implemention Experience

Pros

When evaluating this solution, we appreciated its demonstrated functionality, relatively low cost, and credit card integration.

Cons

My experience with implementation has been awful. The process lacks organization, and resolving issues like whitelisting ACH codes took Expensify almost 10 days. Integration with Xero stopped working and hasn't been fixed in over a month. I'm frustrated that I can only speak to our implementation coordinator, despite needing technical support from someone who can actually solve problems.

This software is the best in its category.

Pros

We've relied on Expensify for years, syncing it with various systems like Workday and Netsuite. Expensify allows us to customize policies, incorporating custom fields from Netsuite, a fantastic feature. The approval workflow is direct and intuitive, requiring no training. Approvers can easily review expense reports with attached receipts. We explored other software options but found them either costly or inadequate. Expensify truly offers value for money.

Cons

So far, I have no complaints; Expensify serves its purpose well.

Perfect Tool to track expenses

I've used Expensify for years to track monthly expenses and generate comprehensive reports for our accountant. Even with the free version, Expensify offers essential options. You can upload receipts from your phone, have them scanned, and automatically populate their details within Expensify. The reports are thorough and clear. Overall, it delivers precisely what you'd expect from such a tool.

Cons

Some options are hard to find initially, making the tool behave strangely. For instance, last year, my reports were automatically closed and sent to my manager without my knowledge. I had to navigate unfamiliar settings to fix this issue, but once adjusted, everything worked well.

BUYER BEWARE- there are much much better platforms out there with better rates and actual customer service.

Pros

Compared to similar services, there's no comparison.

Cons

The billing process is unclear and changes subscription dates without warning. Despite multiple unanswered emails and unresponsive customer service, we switched to another platform that offers better service at a lower cost. It's crucial to turn off auto-renew to avoid unexpected charges with Expensify.

Pros

Managing My Expenses with Ease

Once you get the hang of it, Expensify makes expense management a breeze. I've tried managing expenses with paper, spreadsheets, and Concur, and those experiences were terrible and error-prone. Now, everything goes through Expensify, and I can forget about it. If there's something I missed or need to follow up on, Expensify promptly reminds me with clear instructions.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve. Initially, I found the UI sparse and figuring out where things are located challenging. Once familiar, though, the tasks are straightforward.
