The system also continuously informs you about how it can improve your experience, with helpful user manuals and regular sessions to keep you updated on new features.

Cons

Additional modules can be expensive and some custom developments might not be available without approval from the Ideas Forum.

There are a lot of small changes needed throughout the system such as adding a group to a workflow. These actions require working across multiple sections, which can be tedious.

Because it is so configurable, some of the knowledge articles are difficult to relate to personalized setups.

GateKeeper offers many of the features that its larger competitors provide but at a much more reasonable price. An unexpected benefit is the level of support from them. From sales to tech implementation and ongoing customer support, we have only experienced attentive and professional interactions.

There are certain contract data factors we don't think are necessary but can't delete. It would be nice if clients had the option to remove any data points.

The confidence it gives me to know that we have a system to help us with compliance makes it my go to place for all document management. I would love to have access to the full system.

This is a solid option for small to medium sized firms considering a contract database management system. With plenty of integration options like Docusign and Workato, plus the ability to add customizable fields, create workflows and integrate with Power BI, it offers a lot. It's also easy to use from both an admin and user perspective, with strong support from the GateKeeper team and quick implementation.

Cons

I wish we could edit core/mandatory Gatekeeper fields such as renaming them or changing their placement.

The ability to customize the system was key for us. We wanted to support each business unit's unique needs and a one-size-fits-all solution would not have worked. GateKeeper allowed us to shape our data and workflows to fit our teams needs, helping us avoid forcing them to conform to the software's built in processes.

Cons

The "dark side" of customizations is that it can take time and effort to learn how to create workflows and manage custom data. Their support team was very helpful during this learning process. They always respond promptly and listen to our issues and questions.

The constant turnover of accounts and the pressure to use GateKeeper workflows, which don't align with our business, can be a bit overwhelming.

It's a bit expensive and can be confusing to understand all the features, especially if you don't have IT experience.

Gatekeeper is an excellent platform for storing documentation for each supplier in your business. It is a very user friendly and the system sends advanced notifications when a contract is up for renewal or needs an annual review. You can even email business owners directly from it, with all emails stored within the supplier's card.

Cons

Once a document is uploaded to Gatekeeper, you can't rename or resave it as a PDF. This would be a helpful feature for main administrators.
