“One of the best security solutions I ever used!”
Pros
What I liked most about Netwrix Auditor were its extensive auditing capabilities and the real-time alerting system. The interface was simple, and the customizable reports were very beneficial. Additionally, the software's support for compliance requirements and its ease of deployment and integration were notable advantages. The knowledgeable customer support from Netwrix also stood out to me.
Cons
While Netwrix Auditor has many useful features, I found the initial setup to be a bit difficult. However, once that was done, the experience was generally positive.

It has numerous advanced features that make it superior to other similar products. It is cost-effective and offers great value for money.

Pros
It's very robust. It adds significant functionality to the existing Windows auditing, effectively managing servers and Office 365 from a security, compliance, and auditing perspective.

“Great Multipurpose Auditing Tool!”
Pros
Let me begin by saying there are many things to love about Netwrix Auditor. If you're seeking a tool that brings value and accountability to your department, read on. One of the main things I like is the reporting tool; it offers reports for virtually anything. These reports are useful for different departments in your company. Management might find reports showing all permissions a folder has useful, helping them identify members who shouldn't have access. The IT department may find reports identifying orphaned SIDs useful. There are also reports for anomaly detection, such as when a mass action like deletion or movement of files occurs, an email is sent. Another aspect I like is the subscription plans. Unlike ad-hoc reports, these plans run certain reports on a schedule, keeping you informed when specific triggers occur. The alerting feature works perfectly and has never caused an issue. Lastly, upgrading Netwrix Auditor is very simple. When a new version is released, upgrading is simple, retaining your monitoring plans and subscription reports while offering new features.
Cons
The only drawback I can mention about Netwrix Auditor is that the reporting feature can seem difficult to use. You'll need to spend some time getting the reports to work with the available fields. It's not impossible; you just need to dive into it. Support is incredibly helpful and will assist you with any issues. Given the extensive reporting options, this is my only minor complaint. If you need a report they don't offer, just contact support.

“Great Tool for Sys Admins”
Pros
It easily identifies the four W's: who, what, when, where. It eliminates the need to sift through numerous event logs to find relevant information. It allows for easy investigation into unauthorized changes or system failures. Alerts are simple to set up for notifications of important items.
Cons
Sometimes, services fail without stopping, so monitoring the service doesn't indicate a problem until it's too late. It lacks the preventative measures I would prefer.

Pros
Netwrix Auditor allows me to sort through vast amounts of information received from various sources. It is a very powerful tool and has become an essential part of my job.
Cons
During our collaboration, I didn't notice any negatives. The only thing I find bothersome is that the software isn't very easy to use, requiring a lot of training to do the job well.

“Great Website, Slick Interface. Awful Support”
Pros
The website trial showcases the software's features while also teaching how to perform a user access audit. The user interface is clean, intuitive, and responsive. The software includes many explanations for built-in reports to help users understand their purpose. It also makes monitoring the organization easy, with alerts for unacceptable actions or unusual behavior above thresholds.
Cons
Our IT department spent a long time trying to get some features and reports working. Some successes were achieved, but many reports and features were never fixed even after a year of working with support. Netwrix support was responsive, but their fixes often didn't work.

“Netwrix auditor does what is needs to but watch out for hidden cost”
Pros
I liked that I could get reports on who made changes to everything in my domain. I knew when someone adjusted a group policy, created a user, or made a change in SQL.
Cons
We set this up to monitor employees only and avoided monitoring students or service accounts due to extra costs. The user count showed over 2000, which wasn't licensed. I opened a support ticket and was told it wouldn't monitor any users due to the license. I didn't like the answer but accepted it. A year later, we received a huge bill for monitoring over 2000 people. We decided to turn off the service.

“Probably The Best Tool For AD Auditing You Will Find”
Pros
I love that I can get insights into AD, SQL, and VMware all on the same dashboard. This allows us to see what's happening from both an operational and security standpoint, meeting the needs of both groups.
Cons
The main issue I have with the tool is that it's not very intuitive. The UI/UX isn't the best, but it becomes workable with some experience. I also wish it didn't require a web component that needs regular patching.
