“Clear picture of SaaS revenue - thank you Rillet!

Pros

Rillet's native integrations with Salesforce and Stripe have given me a clear view of revenue per customer. I used to spend several days each month calculating this information juggling between CSV downloads and complex formulas in various spreadsheets. Parsing deferred revenue was particularly challenging. Now revenue by customer and deferred revenue calculations are fully automated and easy to manage within Rillet. The automation of prepaid transactions has also been incredibly helpful. Replacing my Excel-based prepayment schedule with Rillet has significantly improved my end of month processes. The Stripe reconciliation engine handles payouts and fees automatically. Also it is impressive how the Rillet team updates the platform weekly and I have seen great progress since we began using it.

Cons

They currently do not have a native integration with one of our AP tools. But we have managed this with a simple workaround involving a CSV upload/download process that Rillets engineering team customized for us. However I hope they will eventually introduce a native integration. There is also no fixed asset register at this time.

Pros

Rillet serves as a complete general ledger and replaces systems like QBO, Xero, NetSuite and Sage Intacct. I have been using it for a few months now and am really impressed with the experience. Their Stripe integration is top notch and essentially automates the entire revenue recognition process. Everything is pulled in through their various integrations (AP, payroll, etc) and most of the journal entries needed for closing are automatically populated. Their reporting features are also powerful as they handle SaaS metrics directly within the platform and consolidate financials across multiple entities and currencies.

Cons

Not much to mention so far. Whenever I have a question their team is very responsive and knowledgeable and they have used my feedback to drive quick product updates.

“We really like RIllet!

Pros

Streamlined and automated our revenue processes across Salesforce and Stripe as it handles multiple products and types including usage-based ones. The automation in accounting and reporting has saved us several days each month, improved accuracy and allowed the team to focus on strategic initiatives. A notable benefit with Rillet is that revenue recognition entries are booked automatically and all MRR/ARR and deferred revenue schedules align well with the GL. With mostly automated detailed accounting entries, Rillet has improved data integrity which has eventually improved internal management discussions. We now focus on the implications of the numbers rather than debating the numbers themselves. The team was excellent throughout the installation process. They made sure that we were up and running quickly.

Cons

Nothing major to report. However I do applaud them for the thoughtful product improvements they made that come each month.

“Rillet for better reporting and a sleeker interface

Pros

We transitioned from QBO to Rillet last year and it has been a positive change. The product allows us to track revenue by location which is an important metric for our investors. Additionally it is much more intuitive compared to our previous system.

Cons

We faced few issues during the setup where some things were not properly configured. The team was very helpful in addressing these problems and now we are on track.

“Rillet: Revenue Ease & Support

Pros

Very helpful in organizing revenue data clearly. The various reports such as revenue by customer analysis, make month-end close analysis quick and efficient. Moreover the website is very nicely designed, easy to navigate and customizable. Whenever we have questions the team is always eager to assist and ensures a great experience.

Cons

I am very excited to see features that offer more flexibility for revenue recognition adjustments such as handling voided invoices and credit memos, to better match the service period. This would streamline and improve the month end close process.

“The perfect product for SaaS companies

Pros

Earlier this year we conducted a thorough search for solutions designed for recurring revenue and usage based businesses. We evaluated traditional GLs and various rev rec/invoicing and reporting solutions. When we discovered Rillet it was clear they were the ideal choice as it offers all the key features SaaS companies need such as integrations with Hubspot and Salesforce, SaaS metric reporting directly in the software and all the necessary supporting schedules integrated into the GL. The team has been very responsive and thoughtful with our detailed questions during onboarding. Rillet's customer support has been exceptional always available and dedicated to assisting us through the transition from our previous systems.

Cons

The integration with Float is only partially automated. It would be really helpful to have an option to mass delete entries if there are numerous mistakes in imports.

“Streamlining our accounting processes

Pros

It has truly transformed our financial processes. The automation of revenue workflows particularly invoicing and detailed reporting has been a major improvement. Rillet make sure that all invoices are generated and tracked accurately while providing in depth insights into deferred and recognized revenue. This automation has made it easy to monitor payments and maintain cash flow stability. Their seamless integration with Ramp which we use for employee expenses and vendor bill payments is also a plus. Moreover, the customer support from our account manager has been outstanding. I highly recommend Rillet to any business looking to streamline and automate their accounting processes.

Cons

I wish they improve the automatic sync feature to better accommodate international banks as it will improve the efficiency and will make it easy for us to manage our global financial transactions.

“In search for a new-age GL

Pros

I was in search of a more automated general ledger that incorporates cutting edge AI features and it is when I discovered Rillet. It has been fantastic to work with. Although I in the beginning had doubts about whether Rillet would suit our non profit but it turns out their workflows are quite well suited to our needs. I mainly like their flexibility with the classification function which lets me categorize revenue and expenses in detail using various Fields. The team has also been a pleasure to work with.

Cons

There are a few minor things I wish they work on like having additional data fields on list views or more filtering options.

“Rillet has helped us stay on top of our AR workflows

Pros

It has very much simplified my financial processes and become our go to source for Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and recognized revenue. We depend on Rillet for client invoicing and prompt payment monitoring. Despite the complexity of our business model Rillet has made things simple with the support from their team. The responsiveness of the team has been excellent as they are very quick to assist which helps me manage a variety of tasks more easily. Rillet is also consistently rolling out new features that keep improving the workflow.

Cons

Not a lot to mention but I did like to see some of the data in Rillet integrated back into Salesforce. Right now the integration is one way, but they have mentioned they are working on a two way sync. So I am looking forward to that.

“Faster + easier board preparation

Pros

Rillet is ideal for businesses that have outgrown QBO especially if you have recurring revenue. Their automation features are excellent. Its clearly designed for SaaS businesses as it is evident from the functionalities around revenue recognition, native reporting and non-GAAP metrics like ARR, cohorts, and more. The system is very easy to use and learn. Rillet has made board preparation much easier by integrating both accounting and SaaS metrics into one system which makes it simple to access and analyze details. Its become easy to trust our numbers with Rillet.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind at the moment as I have not faced any major issues with the product so far.
