“Great free tool for small businesses
Pros
I am a big fan of Wave because it's free and perfect for small businesses. The user interface feels user-friendly, friendly and very comprehensive overall.
Cons
Their customer support is slow. Besides that, I think it's pretty interesting.

Pros
Setting it up was easy and using it feels user-friendly, I relied on the profit and loss reports which made tax season much easier and I appreciate the affordable pricing.
Cons
I find scanning receipts to be really tedious and the app's receipt workflow doesn't integrate smoothly with other tools.

“Great free tool for simple invoicing
Pros
I found it free and really easy to handle basic invoice tasks. It suits anyone who is just getting started or who only requires a no-frills billing tool and doesn't want to pay for a more feature-rich solution.
Cons
In my experience I found the free options quite limited and many weren't really applicable or ideal for the South African market. The paid plans felt too expensive at the time and I didn't think they were suitable for South African needs.

“Great for early-stage accounting
Pros
I first came across this software back in the early days, when options for small businesses and startups to manage their accounting were scarce. They offered an India-specific edition at the time and over the years they've expanded to include features like payroll and more. I found the interface easy and the free tier was perfectly adequate for businesses just getting started.
Cons
It took them a while to roll out localization and internationalization which meant I didn't have support for other countries right away.

“Love how affordable it is
Pros
I am able to handle every financial task my business requires through Wave without fuss. Sure, they take a small slice from each transaction to earn revenue but plenty of other programs do the same and then also charge a monthly fee to use their platform something Wave doesn't make me pay for at all!
Cons
I'd really appreciate having saved templates for receipts and for emailing invoices to customers but in the meantime I keep the wording I need in Google Docs and then copy and paste it or I end up typing the same information each time I send something to a client. It's not a huge issue yet it would be much more convenient to pick from specific saved templates depending on the type of email I need to send for example invoices.

Pros
Honestly it's hard to believe an app that matters to a business and performs this well is available for free. When I am running a small business, it seems like every vendor expects $30 to $100 a month from me for various subscription services. It feels like a huge relief to get a professional-grade service without that monthly cost.
Cons
I'd really appreciate more guidance tailored for non-accountants managing small businesses. For instance, adding more instances of hover tooltips over options and helpful pop-up windows that explain what each selection does would make the app much easier to understand for people like me.

“Bank connection still doesn't work
Pros
The software is quick and really easy to use when I can get my bank connected.
Cons
For more than two years they haven't supported my bank and haven't responded to any of my support requests, recently they added my bank back to the connections list but I still cannot get it to connect.

Pros
As a freelancer, I found it easy to generate invoices for the services I provided to my clients.
Cons
I cannot tell whether it was my mistake but I couldn't locate the full list of invoices I had created, it didn't show up no matter what dates I tried or whether the payments were marked as received or not.

To me, it's essentially QuickBooks without the hefty price, almost free. I find generating reports easy and quick. The auto-suggested categories are fantastic!
Cons
I found tax season a bit tricky because figuring out my 1099s wasn't easy. I even had to enroll in payroll accounts just to access the 1099 filing feature which felt unnecessary since I don't use their payroll service.

Pros
I appreciate the freemium entry point, given it's a cloud service, I don't have to handle or maintain any IT infrastructure which makes adoption much simpler and less burdensome.
Cons
the app falls short because it lacks several key capabilities, notably cost assemblies, full inventory management and a proper items system that I need.

it really cuts costs when I look at the price and I find the customization choices and features to be quite precise and useful. The data synchronization works flawlessly and overall the way things are presented looks exceptional.
Cons
I have noticed that the reporting isn't as accurate as it should be and essential things like mobile app access are absent. On top of that, I can barely get any help from customer support because it's almost nonexistent.

For starters, it was free which I found fantastic. I really appreciated the branding and the clean user interface they offered. I also enjoyed how easy it was for me to create each invoice or record purchases and I found it simple to search, categorize and filter every one of my receipts and invoices.
Cons
They eventually cut off support for countries beyond the US and Canada which forced me to hunt for a different option. To be fair, I think this is likely an excellent choice if you're based in the US or Canada but it simply doesn't work for people in other countries.

“A lifesaver for my business
Pros
Using Wave accounting software honestly feels like a lifesaver for me. As the owner of a one-person business with no employees, I needed a tool tailored to my situation that wouldn't drain my budget. This does exactly that. The interface is user-friendly, I am able to record and process transactions rapidly and without fuss and the cost was very reasonable. Truly, I cannot recommend this product highly enough!
Cons
I haven't encountered any drawbacks so far in my use, from my perspective it's been an excellent, trouble-free experience.

“Excellent invoicing for small teams
Pros
The invoicing tools are simply outstanding, the app lets me send both estimates and invoices straight to a customer's email right from within the software.
Cons
it doesn't include an inventory tracking and management module which makes handling stock and running things a little tricky if you're a retailer or have a product-based business.
