Pros
Running my small business would be much harder without this software. It integrates really well with Shopify sales and the reporting tools make it simple to keep an eye on sales and profitability. It's also a big help when tax time comes around.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues so far and I don't have any dislikes at this point.

Pros
I was able to use it without much of a hassle and using it every day seems very easy. The layout is also user friendly, it's simple to learn and it makes managing accounting tasks much less complicated.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. It's genuinely brilliant, very user friendly and the guides are clear and easy to follow. If you're not already using it, I'd definitely recommend it.

“flexible reporting and currency options”
Pros
One feature I have really appreciated is the reporting especially being able to switch currencies within a report. That kind of flexibility has been very useful.
Cons
Support used to be a frustrating part of using it. When problems came up, I often had to depend on online forums and getting help right away wasn't really possible. On the occasions I contacted the company directly, it was handled through electronic messaging, with a lot of delay between replies. It does seem like it is putting more effort into being accessible now since different sales reps have been reaching out to me.

Pros
Pretty much any worthwhile software seems to integrate with Xero which says a lot about how widely it's supported. Also it is easy to work with and includes plenty of time-saving features that cut down on the repetitive parts of bookkeeping and accounting.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is more flexibility in the advisor annual financial statements especially the option to add custom notes like fixed asset schedules.

Pros
Compared with QuickBooks, I much prefer Xero's interface and overall usability for handling small business accounts. It does take a little time to learn at first but once you get used to it, it's a much better piece of software overall.
Cons
It still falls short a bit when it comes to integrations and there are also fewer bookkeepers who already know how to work with it.

Matching bank statements using the software's built-in titles and tabs makes the whole reconciliation process much simpler.
Cons

There's a lot packed into Xero for the money. It covers pretty much any accounting job I have needed, including more traditional tasks like printing checks and the cost was about half of QuickBooks the last time I compared them.
Cons
The bank feed powered by Yodlee has been terrible. Years back, their reps actually came to my office to hear feedback because I think they were looking to highlight a satisfied small business customer on their blog. I walked them through how painfully slow the bank feed refresh was and told them that was my biggest issue. Needless to say, I never ended up on their blog and the bank feed never improved. Over the last month, it hasn't worked at all which has left me manually reconciling transactions.

“good budgeting and integrations”
Pros
A few parts of it work well especially the fixed asset management and the budgeting tools. The reporting options are fairly decent too. Another plus is how well it integrates with other software since quite a few third-party vendors already integrate with it.
Cons
The general ledger is the part I really don't care for. There's no real structure around account numbers because you can pretty much enter whatever you want. It's also not very practical to add heading accounts so the chart of accounts ends up turning into one long, oversized list. On top of that you have to build reports yourself if you want subtotals.

Putting together an invoice only takes a few minutes and I can also assign payment details for our back-end accounting reports without much hassle. It's also really convenient for sharing documents with clients.
Cons
It would be much better if the home or intro screen showed more record-keeping information so there'd be less need to switch over to other screens.

Pros
Xero is incredibly easy to use. The company owner gave me a quick two-minute rundown of the basics and by the end of the day I already felt confident using it. I especially love being able to convert purchase orders into bills.
Cons
We added the Projects add-on but I am still not convinced it will cover all the reporting we need. There's a chance we may also have to buy a separate Reporting add-on.

From a day to day standpoint this software is very easy to use, even for someone without an accounting background. It also integrates well with other cloud tools like Dext and Flowlens which makes the overall workflow much more convenient.
Cons
There have been a few glitches along the way especially when the bank feeds stopped working for certain periods. On top of that manually importing bank statements can be a bit fiddly and sometimes takes a few tries to get right.

Billing and invoicing work really well, the interface is user friendly and the integration with bank operations seems fantastic.
Cons
Almost everything in the platform works well. It handled our data import from the previous software perfectly and being able to see transactions on the bank dashboard and manage activities there makes the whole process much better.
