“all-in-one accounting powerhouse”
Pros
Handling transactions and managing contacts from one place has been really useful for me. It gives everything on a single page which makes the whole process feel organized and professional. Another big advantage is being able to compare financial charts and billing details through its impressive features which adds a lot of value.
Cons
At this point, I really don't see any downside to it. It works as an excellent solution for controlling accounts and supporting finance and accounting tasks across an organization, mainly because it comes packed with so many useful features.

“frustrating login and no support”
Pros
At this point there really isn't anything about it that has stood out positively to me.
Cons
Using it once every couple of weeks just to submit timesheets shouldn't be this painful. The three-step authentication feels excessive especially when a username and password should be enough. I don't even need that much security to access my bank account. On top of that the expenses app won't accept the Authy code it generates and then it logs me out. Apparently, getting logged out is the only way to contact support which is ridiculous. I also have a personal rule about not buying anything online when there are no contact details available and this experience has completely reinforced that.

“Accounting finally organized”
Pros
Running this in the agency I owned really helped simplify and organize our accounting. It came highly recommended by accountants and they'll guide you through the setup and process. Choosing an accounting firm that actually embraces technology is absolutely worth it.
Cons
Getting started can be challenging at first and there isn't much training available unless you're paying an accountant to walk you through the system in detail.

“Quick invoicing”
Pros
Xero is easy to use and its integrations with CRMs and other platforms make daily work stress free. Invoicing is very simple and accessing account information is quick and hassle free.
Cons
The only real downside is that having to go through a two-step authentication process can be a little annoying.

“most comprehensive accounting platform”

Compared with other options on the market, this software feels like the most complete and comprehensive one available.

“fantastic reporting and usability”
Pros
Working in Xero is very easy and the platform is incredibly user friendly. It lets you produce a wide range of reports which really helps when it comes to making smarter business decisions.
Cons
Honestly there's nothing significant for me to complain. It's a powerful SaaS platform that's also flexible enough to adapt well and it fits my business perfectly.

“smart dashboard and navigation”
Pros
Xero is easy to use, with some really smart functionality, a strong dashboard and decent navigation throughout the platform.
Cons
Support is where it falls down when something goes wrong. If you're not sure what caused the issue or don't know exactly what to ask, the help can be slow, weak and overly focused on process and closing tickets rather than actually reading what you've submitted. The invoice approval workflow is also awkward and since there are no notifications, our team has to remind each other manually in chat. It pulls data from the bank feed in a clever way but at times it tries to be too clever and when the system itself makes an error, it can take quite a while to untangle what happened.

“cost-saving bookkeeping with xero”
Pros
For our small business Xero has been a simple and very affordable option for all our accounting and bookkeeping. Setting it up with our accountant was easy and it has cut down the time we spend on bookkeeping each month. The automatic bank feeds keep our monthly account reconciliations to a minimum which helps a lot. The audit trail makes it quick to find and fix any issues and adding notes to transactions helps our accountant answer questions faster. Keeping external accounting costs under control matters a lot to us. Using it reduces the time our accountant needs to spend on our books which also lowers the invoices we get from him.
Cons
A few of the accounts it automatically suggests during reconciliation are not always the right ones so every transaction still needs to be checked carefully before confirming it. We also ran into problems setting up some of the automatic bank feeds and one of our bank accounts still will not sync properly which means those transactions have to be entered manually. On top of that we had trouble when uploading transaction files and ended up finding it faster to input them directly into the system ourselves.

“access anywhere on the go”
Pros
Being cloud-based, this accounting software lets me log in from practically anywhere, whether I am on my phone, tablet or another device.
Cons
It does depend on having a reliable internet connection and the subscription cost may feel a bit expensive for some users.

“flexible cloud accounting access”
Pros
The system is very user friendly, being cloud-based makes it convenient to use from anywhere, the cash coding feature is really helpful and multiple users can work in Xero at the same time.
Cons
Every now and then, a page doesn't open on the first click and just seems to refresh instead so I have to click a second time to get into it.

“Good features, limited integrations”
Pros
Compared with other cloud-based accounting systems I have tried, this one is just as good, if not better. It includes all the functionality I need and the pricing feels reasonable for the features it offers.
Cons
One downside is that it doesn't integrate with multi-channel software like Linnworks so sales have to be uploaded manually. If you sell online or handle a large volume of orders, that can become a hassle and add extra time. It also doesn't support feeds for every bank or credit card provider.

“xero changed my workflow”
Pros
Using Xero has been a game changer. The platform is very user friendly, the interface is clean and the functionality covers everything I need. The support videos and written guides are also detailed and simple to follow which makes getting help really easy.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. It has been brilliant for me and with nearly 60 clients using it, there's really nothing I dislike about it.

“buggy syncing makes it useless”
Pros
The design is clean and the controls and overall layout are very easy to use.
Cons
Compared with competitors like QuickBooks Online, it just doesn't feel nearly as capable. On top of that it's been very buggy. One of my bank feeds hasn't synced in three months and support has been no help at all. They keep saying it's on their list to investigate but after three months, nothing has changed. The frustrating part is that it worked fine for four years and only stopped after they updated the software. Since that bank syncing is a core accounting function, the software is basically useless for me now.

“web-based and user friendly”
Pros
Running my small business with Xero has been really easy. Even without an accounting background, I have been able to use it confidently and get a lot of value from it. The platform is simple to navigate, integrates with a variety of third-party apps and being fully web-based means I can log in and manage things from anywhere whenever I need to.
Cons
It handles what I need well so I don't really have many complaints. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the price since it feels a little more expensive compared with some other options I looked at. Still, it performs reliably and gets the job done very well.

“convenient banking and integrations”
Pros
The convenience of Xero has been a big plus for me. I really appreciate that it links directly to my bank and it also works well with the other software tools I already use.
Cons
One thing I am not happy with is that it won't connect to my credit union account although that may just be because it's a smaller credit union.

“Keeps getting better”
Pros
By far, this has been the most capable and efficient accounting software I have used. I have run it across several businesses for the past five years and during that time I have watched the company, its support and the overall product offerings grow significantly.
Cons
One area that still needs serious improvement is the estimates and quotes interface. The design feels extremely basic, offers almost no customization and honestly looks outdated, like something from 2002. I really wish it allowed more flexibility and the ability to export polished, professional-looking PDFs.
