“Quicksight is ideal for data handling

It meets our data needs and performs well most of the time.

Cons

The UI can feel cluttered, and scrolling becomes difficult when there are many scrollable boxes on the screen. This might be a user issue but I believe the UI could be improved.

“It is simplifying data visualization

Pros

QuickSight is a very customizable and valuable tool that helps us track current account status and customer profiles using AWS data. It allows us to create dashboards that enable our team to monitor account health, market trends and customer numbers on a weekly basis. The setup is simple, and it makes invoicing, planning and strategy much easier for our operations.

Cons

The UI seems a bit outdated and is mostly useful for internal use. It would be challenging to incorporate this into our customer facing models, especially for enterprise clients who might want to review data as it doesn't align with our design, layout or product.

Pros

The simple UI for reporting is a big plus. It's user friendly, even for those without a BI background especially compared to other tools on the market. Being part of the AWS suite adds more value.

Cons

Customer support could be more professional and better trained. Also, the UI experience while editing dataset names or making changes in custom SQL is not very user-friendly. You need to click multiple buttons to save edits and sometimes, even after saving, the changes don't actually get saved.

“Great integration with other platforms

Pros

My favorite feature of Quick sight is its ability to source data from other systems we use, like Salesforce and Aircall. We can integrate data from these systems to create more comprehensive and insightful reports.

Cons

I sometimes find it hard to navigate the app's interface. It could definitely be more visually appealing, especially for users who don't frequently interact with databases or data applications.

“Amazing features and customization options

Pros

I liked how easy it was to embed the dashboard into both an app and a website. It was essentially a plug and play feature, offering various customization options.

Cons

Customer support needs significant improvement. When I posted a question, it took weeks to receive a response and the reply could easily get lost. The community-based support didn't work for me and in situations where the issue is critical, an immediate response is necessary.

“Excellent for data visualization

Pros

The best thing about QuickSight is its ease of use. Even if you're not a BI expert, it's pretty simple to create dashboards and get realtime updates for visualizing data. The learning curve is much faster than other similar tools. If you have more advanced knowledge, integration with AWS services lets you build something more complex. Being part of the AWS ecosystem, it's really "plug and play" if you're already using other AWS services.

Cons

The filtering capabilities could use improvement. Since each tab is handled separately, you can't apply a universal filter across all reports to slice data. And, borrowing more customization and pivoting options, similar to other players like Looker, would be a huge improvement, as the current system feels a bit rigid from the end-user perspective with limited customization options.

It has significantly helped us display different metrics and improve our performance more than we did before!

Some parts of the GUI aren't very good, but that's just part of the process of customizing it more.

It's the best cloudbased BI solution from AWS for building analytical reports. The power of cloud infrastructure allows you to handle huge volumes of data when creating reports.

As a cloud based solution, connecting to on premise databases can be a bit challenging.

The drag-and-drop functionality is convenient but it's not necessarily easier than other BI products I've used before.

Cons

The graphical resources are limited, and there's poor integration (even with Amazon). It's difficult to create intelligent reports, and the data doesn't integrate smoothly, if you apply a filter on one page, it doesn't carry over to other pages. Also there are very few guides or helpful documents to learn how to use the product effectively.

It loads very quickly, even when handling large data sets. Multiple users can view the data simultaneously and you can also access the data on mobile devices through their app.
