The ability to sync data from Intercom and the flexible table functionality are amazing features. The support and onboarding are also excellent.

Cons

The interface isn't the most user friendly and can be a bit confusing for beginners.

After trying various platforms like Domo, Power BI and Tableau, I finally found Equals. I was able to tie together two Stripe accounts, two currencies, two products, six pricing plans, two resellers and two usage-based platforms to create a simple logo retention and revenue retention chart. The best part was the expert support from Equals, where a data specialist helped me integrate everything with our existing databases in just 10 hours. They even set up a Slack group for continuous support. I use Equals multiple times a week!!!! it's a solid 10 out of 10. They're just getting started and are already impressive.

Cons

I was hoping for a filters feature and while they're working on it, I'd love to see it fully implemented. Getting non engineers on my team to use it would be much easier with this feature, something like Tableau does really well.

Pros

The ability to query data directly from SQL and then manipulate it in a spreadsheet environment has been incredibly helpful for our team. It's made learning SQL easier and querying data is a breeze. The team at Equals is fantastic with support and answers all our questions. We use it daily, and integrating it with our warehouse takes mere seconds, no complex implementation.

Cons

The spreadsheet can be a bit quirky at times. It's not Excel and I wish there were more shortcut options available.

Pros

Most reporting tools leave you having to export data to Excel for further manipulation, but Equals solves this by considering all my edge cases and manual overrides. They've truly impressed me with both the product and customer support.

Cons

While the team is very helpful during implementation, the tool does require a fair amount of auditing to make sure everything works as expected. But it's definitely worth the effort in the end!

Pros

The AI assistant's natural language prompting is effortless. You can describe exactly what you need and the assistant not only writes the formulas for you but also places them directly in the target cell. It pairs perfectly with the intuitive query builder, making it easy for those who are afraid of SQL or don't want to deal with it. You just choose the table and columns you want and can save or share the query.

Cons

There's nothing to dislike about Equals. I highly recommend checking it out and grabbing a free trial.

Pros

Equals has streamlined our workflow by centralizing all our data reporting. We no longer need to pull data from various sources and manually update spreadsheets. Now, everything is connected in one place and the ability to pull real time data into a familiar spreadsheet environment has been a game changer. The automated refresh ensures our reports are always up to date, saving us countless hours.

Cons

The product is still evolving and while I love the frequent updates and improvements, there are times when I wish certain features were already in place. That said, the team is very responsive to feedback and the learning curve isn't too steep thanks to helpful support articles.

It's a great, user friendly tool with fantastic visualizations that load much faster than other tools like Tableau.

Since I don't build my own dashboards, I don't have as much experience with the technical side of things.

Pros

Equals is incredibly fast and combines the power of SQL with the simplicity of spreadsheets. It's convenient to avoid exporting data from one tool, importing it into another and managing KPIs in different places. The team was extremely helpful in setting up our instance and is always responsive. Integrations work seamlessly and it's great to combine finance, product and production data in one place. We use it every day!

Cons

Overall I think it is fantastic! A couple of things I would love to see: 1) It would be great if adding new seats were self serve, though their team is quick to help with this 2) Better sharing functionality, like what Google Sheets offers, would be a big plus. Features like read-only access, editing permissions and password protection for external users would be great.

Pros

The dashboard is super clean and great for presenting data. It's fantastic for data crunching, and the support team has been incredibly helpful whenever I have questions.

Cons

There are a few minor things to improve (which they're likely addressing), such as workbooks crashing occasionally when running large datasets and how dates are formatted. If you use "MMMM" for months, ascending or descending might be sorted alphabetically by the first letter instead of by month order. But overall, it's an awesome tool!
