Pros
What I love about HG Insights is being able to see which products each company has installed. It's particularly useful when we are running takeout campaigns.
Cons
The product installations often list an 'unspecified product' for certain vendors. While the vendor name is typically enough, it is a minor drawback.

Pros
HG Insights is a fantastic tool specially recommended by G2. It has provided me with invaluable data and insights that greatly improved my paid advertising campaigns. I was able to build better ads, sales funnels and scripts for my team. The only thing that would make it even better is the addition of more filters but so far, it has helped me boost sales and build a better system.
Cons
It would be great to have a demo period available without having to speak with the sales team. A self guided experience would make it easier to explore and recommend the tool to colleagues.

Pros
What I appreciate most about it is how well it is structured specially for large businesses. It's simple and easy to use, particularly when gathering company data. It has made decision making much easier. The integration process is seamless and the customer support is excellent.
Cons
One downside of HG Insights is the high price for individual users and small businesses. Also some of the data appears outdated, making it less reliable.

The database provided by HG Insights has been accurate and invaluable for one of our key campaigns.
Cons
I can't think of anything I dislike about HG Insights. Maybe adding intent data would be an improvement though I understand that is a bit tricky.

HG Insights is a great tool for gaining insights into a customer's IT spend, install base and technology contracts.
Cons
As per our current contract, this doesn't provide spend details by specific products, like SAP or Oracle or the vendor's share of the wallet in the account.

Cons

“Great insights, but the price is high
Pros
I find the company level data, including install base information, to be extremely useful. The platform shows how frequently and when the data is collected, which is a huge benefit. It is also super easy to use and getting started was a breeze. I have not had to contact customer support yet but I know there is a workaround for D365 integration.
Cons
It would be great if it incorporated contact level details though there are other tools that can handle that. Also it's a bit pricey, which can be a challenge for small organizations.

“Good market intelligence tool with room to improve in niche market data depth
Pros
The platform is incredibly user friendly, with only about 15 minutes needed to learn how to navigate and understand the tool. It is very intuitive and the quick onboarding videos helped me get up to speed fast. Within an hour, I was already using the platform expertly. The implementation process was smooth and my colleagues were impressed with how quickly we deployed it. The sales onboarding team was very responsive and supportive throughout. I use the platform several times a day to ensure that the insights stay fresh and relevant to my work. While we haven't integrated it with Salesforce yet, the platform offers easy plug and play integration options.
Cons
While it frequently updates its data, I have noticed that insights on niche technologies or markets can lag. If you are planning a niche targeted marketing campaign, I would rate the tool 7/10. The dashboard and report customization options are limited and I would like to have more flexibility with the fields displayed in the reports.

“The best source for technographic data for large enterprises
Pros
We were searching for a comprehensive source of information about the technology already in place at our prospects to personalize our outreach. It is by far the best source we have found for this. Creating target lists based on their extensive dataset is also very valuable. The customer success team has been responsive and helpful.
Cons
The licensing model could be more flexible. We would like to have the SaaS platform accessible to more users but the current model does not support that. Also the export and integration features with Salesforce could be more powerful than what's available through the web interface.

The in depth data provided by them has been invaluable for our needs.
Cons
Im good at Excel so I don't mind cleaning up and manipulating the data to generate charts and insights. But not all users may feel comfortable doing this so it could be a barrier for some.

Pros
We have found the variety of data in the HGI spend & install data to be extremely helpful in building our account level TAM. The HGI team has also been great in answering our questions through email and Zoom and they have been fantastic partners throughout our process.
Cons
A small subset of the HGI spend data was not as accurate or useful for our needs. However it acknowledged this and offered additional support to address the issue.
