“Misleading pricing and surprise charges”
Pros
Nothing stood out in a positive way. Other tools offer better comparable, if not identical, features.
Cons
The pricing shown on their website feels deceptive. I signed up for the Pay As You Go plan because my site gets very little traffic, under 200 visits a month so I expected to be charged only for that limited usage. At first, everything seemed fine. Then I stopped using the platform because the service just wasn't that good compared with other options. I assumed I could come back later and still use the Pay As You Go plan without worrying about unexpected costs. Instead, a few months later, I was hit with three separate charges on the same day, each for $25.99. When I reached out to support, they claimed the charges were applied because my free trial had ended and that these were retroactive billing attempts. That explanation didn't make sense to me at all. They also said previous charges had failed because my credit card blocked them which I don't buy since failed payment attempts normally trigger email notifications and my card company also alerts me whenever a transaction is declined or blocked.

“Detailed customer tracking”
Pros
It has been a really useful tool for tracking customers in more detail and it's helped me get a much clearer picture of who my best customers are, what actions they take and what they're most interested in. The setup process was simple and it's turned out to be a very effective marketing tool overall.
Cons
For smaller companies, the cost can be a concern since it isn't a free tool. That said, there is a free trial available which helps before committing to a more expensive decision.

“Solid UX”
Pros
Right away, the platform's UX feels like a major strength. What I really appreciate about Kissmetrics is that it goes beyond just reporting numbers and gives a much broader view of what's happening. Setting up dashboards is simple and it does a solid job of helping you understand the customer journey along with user behavior.
Cons
That said, it's not really a fit for small businesses since you may not get enough value from the product at that scale. Pricing is also a big hurdle, with plans starting around $850 per month and increasing based on the features you need. On top of that, users usually need some training before they can fully work with the platform.

“Worth the effort”
Pros
It feels like a really strong alternative to Google Analytics 360. The interface is well designed and I especially appreciate how it tracks actions like liking products making purchases and abandoning carts. Getting everything installed does take a bit of time but I think the payoff is absolutely worth it.
Cons
Setting up the installation can be challenging and getting team sharing configured is also a little tricky.

“Simple to implement”
Pros
One thing this tool does really well is collect user interaction data for web-based products through clearly defined user events. It makes it simple to see which features users are engaging with, what is driving purchases and the points where they drop off. That kind of visibility is very useful when making product decisions and running A/B tests on web products. Another plus is that the analytics can be accessed from anywhere just by logging into the site and setting up your user funnel. Implementation is also pretty simple since you only need to add a JavaScript snippet to the source code and then trigger events based on user actions.
Cons
The admin tool's interface design could definitely be better.

“Valuable conversion insights”
Pros
Using this tool gave me the data I needed to validate a few conversion theories across our organization. The tracking has been really useful for getting a clearer picture of our audience and the conversion funnel tracking has been consistently reliable.
Cons
It took a handful of training sessions before I really understood how to use the platform to its full potential. Having online training videos available would make the learning process a lot better.

“Quick access to reports”
Pros
Getting to the reports I use most takes almost no time. The customizable user populations are really useful and the time-over-time and cohort comparisons are incredibly fast.
Cons
I do wish there were more dashboard options, along with a way to create automatic reports that build and refresh inside the app while keeping certain filters applied by default. The dashboard itself is helpful but every Kissmetrics user shares the same one and it doesn't support overall filters like excluding specific populations from all dashboard data.

“Very happy with it”
Pros
The depth of data this platform captures and connects is incredible. We can tell which prospects are landing on specific pages and follow their path through the conversion funnel. That visibility has made it much easier to shape our marketing messages for different audiences and we've been able to monitor those patterns over a full three-year span. Having access to historical data has also been extremely useful when checking whether our read on the numbers is actually correct. Overall, we've been very happy with it.
Cons
A portion of the data can be a little difficult to summarize but honestly that's a very minor concern for us.

“Analytics are simple to understand”
Pros
Getting started with this program felt very natural and the analytics are simple to understand without much effort. The reports are clear, simple and genuinely useful. It also gives you the flexibility to set up tracking for just about anything you need.
Cons
There really wasn't much to complain about. If anything, the pricing could be a bit more accessible and offering a lower-cost option might help some users.

“Impressive customization options”
Pros
The customization options are a big plus and the platform does a nice job of helping direct visitors to the specific areas of the page you want them to see.
Cons
Getting everything set up at the beginning can be a bit confusing and parts of the interface aren't always the clearest though it's not a major issue.

“broad range of metrics”
Pros
The visualization capabilities are really powerful and the platform itself is simple to work with. It also gives access to a broad range of metrics which makes analysis much more useful and flexible.
Cons
Connecting it with other tools could be better since the integrations are not very useful right now. The interface also takes some getting used to because it is not very user-friendly.
