“Great app to track billing system performance
Pros
I really like how New Relic's dashboards show live performance data for our billing apps which helps me quickly spot slowdowns that might delay financial reports.
Cons
There are so many metrics available that sometimes the interface feels a bit overwhelming and it takes me a while to find the specific accounting info I need.

“Fantastic app
Pros
Using it is quite simple and I very much like the many filters and different interfaces it offers to work with.
Cons
Honestly there is nothing I dislike about this tool. It is well built and totally worth the price I paid.

“Good but quite expensive for larger teams
Pros
The tool is pretty easy to use and offers plenty of options for keeping an eye on things I should all the time.
Cons
I noticed the pricing is user based so when you have a big team, the cost can become a problem.

“Reliable observation software
Pros
What I enjoy most is how clean and user friendly the dashboard looks. Plus the monitoring features are top notch.
Cons
These days I have no complaints but I will say the initial setup was a little confusing at first.

“Using it to handle errors and saturation
Pros
New Relic has been a great help for tracking saturation and error reports. Also it allows us to stay ahead by preventing serious issues that could ruin the user experience.
Cons
One downside I have noticed at my company is the limit on data retention as we only get to see the last 30 days of data which makes it hard to investigate incidents older than a month.

“Offer advanced tracking features for apps
Pros
One thing I really like is that it provides clear insights into app performance through live monitoring and detailed stats.
Cons
It has really improved my workflow by spotting and fixing performance bottlenecks before they become issues, letting me focus more on building and improving apps. So no complaints.

“Works fine
Pros
Compared to Datadog I find it much cheaper since it offers different features. Also the query load info and database explanations are really helpful. From what I remember setting it up was easier too and error tracking seemed better too.
Cons
Back when I used it from 2018 to 2021 I found it a bit hard to clearly understand things like Apdex scores. I used to prioritize end points by throughput and look at slow ones that way. But now Datadog's service pages make that easier since I can just sort by request count.

“New Relic plus Cybersecurity: A strong combo
Pros
New Relic is a cloud based observability platform that gives a full picture of app performance and it is now a key partner of ours in cybersecurity. By combining performance tracking with security analytics, it helps our security teams spot threats faster and respond quicker.
Cons
I honestly have not found anything negative to mention.

“Reliable app for system monitoring
Pros
The best thing about it is that it supports a lot of features to monitor nearly any tech stack. Also it has improved over time since the user interface used to be too complicated when we first started to use it.
Cons
Setting it up can be tricky for some services and if we go beyond the free tier, the cost ramps up fast which can make it tough for small and medium businesses to adopt.

“New approach to performance monitoring
Pros
I saw a sudden spike in response times on one of my app's endpoints. And by using New Relic I dug into the issue and found it was a database query that needed tuning.
Cons
What I did not like much about it is its pricing system which is kind of complex and can get pricey as your monitoring needs grow.

It is such an awesome tool. The user interface is very friendly, pricing is affordable and we hardly had to take any training to get started.
Cons
So far it has been working great for me and I have not run into any problems using this tool.

“Perfect fit for monitoring needs
Pros
New Relic offers lots of features for active monitoring and getting access is pretty easy too. Plus I like the alert configuration and app insights as they are very useful.
Cons
I think it would be nice if monitoring improved around code logs which would help developers a lot.

“Simplifies stack monitoring
Pros
It gives me an easy way to watch over my whole stack from backend to frontend sites so I can quickly spot bugs or areas that need improvement.
Cons
The deployment was pretty confusing at the beginning because I had to deal with a lot of custom configs and experiment a bit.

“Had a great experience!
Pros
I am a fan of New Relic's Real User Monitoring. Its suite includes APM, Browser, Synthetic, Mobile, Infrastructure and more.
Cons
One thing I dislike about it is how often the user interface updates drastically as it takes some time to get used to all the changes.

“Packed with great features
Pros
There is a lot that I like about it. But some of my favorite New Relic services are APM, Browser Monitoring, Alerts and AI-powered tools.
Cons
The cost is pretty high and I find New Relic's documentation is not always up to date.

“Gets the job done
Pros
Well synthetic checks and alerts work really well which makes it easier for my team to get the info they need to fix their apps.
Cons
The pricing and user license model keeps changing every year especially around Frontend Monitoring which makes it hard to keep track.

“Decent tool
Pros
The alerting and metric rules are clear and I found them easy to understand. Also alerts can be set up with NRQL and it integrates smoothly with messaging tools like Splunk and paging tools like OpsGenie.
Cons
One thing I have noticed is that its log aggregation features are not very advanced.

“One of the leading monitoring apps
Pros
You can easily set alerts and notifications. Logs are simple to query using NRQL and Grok helps filter logs. Also data visualization options include lines, pie charts, graphs and area charts. The APM is excellent too as transaction details like PHP, database calls and external requests help pinpoint problems. Plus the stack trace feature helps us in finding problematic code. The best thing is that browser analysis is also available.
Cons
So far I really have not come across anything I dislike about it.
