“Great dashboards with nice visuals”
Pros
It has been a very capable data visualization platform for my work. The interactive dashboards are useful and work really well in practice. It offers chart options for just about every type of data and the automatic grouping feature saves me time during analysis. I also appreciate how well it integrates with Python.
Cons
There's still room for improvement in data preprocessing. The map-related errors should be corrected and the graphic customization options could be expanded further.

“Dashboards with many connection options”
Pros
One thing users really appreciate about Tableau is the wide range of data connectors it provides. It also has a huge collection of online resources and a very active support community which many people find helpful. Several users also mention how quickly they can build dashboards and reports with it.
Cons
A common complaint is the price especially for small businesses or individual users. Some users also wish it offered more Enterprise BI capabilities, such as ELT, more complex transactions and stronger predictive planning. Another issue mentioned is that when too much data is used, charts and graphs can become hard to understand.

“Helpful suggestions for your data”
Pros
One thing I really liked was how the software recommends visuals that fit the data you want to present. It was also pretty easy to understand and pick up quickly.
Cons
I do wish it offered a bit more guidance about what type of information should go in each place. There were a few moments when I had trouble finding the right visual to use.

“Dashboards with easy drill-downs”
Pros
Getting into the data with this tool is very easy. Plus it does an excellent job when you need to dig in and explore details.
Cons
A few parts of it look confusing especially when it comes to formatting dashboards. It also is not the strongest option for reporting although it works well for dashboards and data visualization.

“Good visuals that work with everything”
Pros
Using Tableau is very easy and it works well with other office file formats. The data visualization capabilities are also a big plus and make information much easier to understand.
Cons
One thing that could make it even better would be having some preloaded syntax options available for users who aren't very proficient.

“Great dashboards for understanding clients”
Pros
It lets us build excellent dashboards and it does a really strong job of turning data into visual insights we can share with customers. The results have been consistently well received and our customers are usually very happy with what we're able to show them.
Cons
Using it can be a bit confusing especially since I am not in it all the time. Because I don't use the software very often, I am not fully comfortable with it yet and there are times when I get stuck and have to reach out to our data scientist for help.

“Visuals that fit any need”
Pros
Tableau has become useful for us in a lot of different ways and the feature set has been incredibly helpful overall. We work with both public and private data across a range of business needs and visualization is easily the feature we rely on the most.
Cons
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the pricing. It would be even better with more affordable plans and greater flexibility in the pricing options.

“Clean dashboards with rich visuals”
Pros
There are lots of dashboards, reports and visualizations available for looking at data which makes the platform really useful. Being able to drill down into reports by clicking through different links is something I appreciate a lot. The interface also feels clean and well organized.
Cons
It can be very slow at times. In some cases, reports take 2 to 3 minutes to load which gets frustrating.

“Good podcast sorting but limited categories”
Pros
Tableau keeps iHeartMedia's podcast library organized which makes it easier for account executives to pull up data for each individual show. Being able to sort podcasts using different metrics, like demographics or download numbers, is especially useful.
Cons
One downside is that the iTunes categories function works like a search field instead of a dropdown menu so we cannot simply select categories from a list.

“Dashboards that work for stakeholders”
Pros
The dashboard feature has been the highlight for me. It lets me share mission-critical KPIs with stakeholders and they can pull up the information whenever they need it with confidence that the data being shown is accurate and reliable.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is chart and graph recommendations. At times the visual it presents isn't the clearest option and the information could make more sense in a different format.
