“Flexible dashboards you can adjust”
Pros
It comes packed with a huge range of features and its flexibility is easily one of the best parts. You can build just about any type of dashboard and add whatever interactions you want.
Cons
Because there are so many features available, it can be difficult to fully learn and master. A better combination of tutorials and UX improvements would make a real difference for first-time users.

“Feature-rich dashboards that deliver”
Pros
Right away the dashboard visualizations stand out and the way it integrates to different databases is excellent. It comes packed with a lot of features and the product keeps improving over time. The support for extracts like TDE is also a big plus.
Cons
One area that still needs work is connection stability. It would also be helpful if it could connect with other reporting tools and let users build dashboards from those sources. Overall it could definitely use a lot more improvement as well.

“stands out among others”
Pros
Tableau stands out for turning data analytics into clear, powerful visualizations in a way that feels ahead of other tools I have used. It's simple to work with and comes with a wide range of capabilities.
Cons
It is a little expensive but the value is there for the price. It becomes especially worthwhile when you're handling large amounts of data or recurring annual processes.

“Track KPIs with clear reports”
Pros
One of the best parts of using Tableau is being able to build reports for collecting data and keeping track of our team's KPIs.

“Keep track of your metrics”
Pros
Tableau lays out performance metrics in an organized way across employees so you can clearly see each person's achievements broken down by specific categories.
Cons
The only part I like less is figuring out how accurate the updated data really is, along with how fast the real-time data is actually refreshed.

“Tell stories with business data”

It can still get a bit challenging when the data sets are messy or not fully cleaned up before working with them.

“Publish and share your data visuals”
Pros
Tableau is pretty easy to use from day one and it does a good job when it comes to cleaning data and connecting to different data sources. It also makes visualizing information and publishing it online much more convenient.
Cons
One thing that bothers me is that the application only includes very basic chart types for presenting data. If I need something like a donut chart, I have to merge two pie charts to create it which feels ridiculous for a tool that's supposed to be advanced.

“Shareable dashboards with clear visuals”
Pros
One thing that really works well with this software is the way it helps build dashboards that can be shared with other end users, making it simple for departments to keep an eye on their performance. The visuals are also very clear so the information being presented is easy to understand at a glance.
Cons

“Quick visuals from strong dashboards”
Pros
Handling large volumes of data with Tableau feels very manageable and it does a really good job of turning complex information into something meaningful through reports and dashboards. The built-in visuals are quite useful, it integrates with most on-premises and cloud data sources, the performance is fast and there is a wide range of visual options to work with.
Cons
At the beginning of our project, getting the subscription in place was quite difficult because our budget was tight. The upfront cost was hard to justify so lowering the initial pricing would really help.
