“A full toolkit for analytics”
Pros
One thing that stands out to me most is how many tools it includes to support the entire workflow of a data analytics project from start to finish.
Cons
The cloud version of it still has room for improvement since it doesn't currently match the same level of capability as the desktop version.

“See your sales pipeline clearly”
Pros
Daily use really centers on Tableau's ability to visualize leads and the sales pipeline. Its integration with our data warehouse and Salesforce is especially important because data keeps moving continuously across the systems which gives us much better visibility. We also embed Tableau dashboards directly into Salesforce so users can quickly access visual insights and reporting intelligence whenever they need it.
Cons
Its pricing could be lower compared with other alternatives on the market. It would also help if the platform offered more out-of-the-box integrations since that would reduce the extra effort customers currently have to handle internally based on their business needs. On top of that support could be more responsive when critical issues come up.

“Flexible data sources with strong dashboards”
Pros
Building connections and putting dashboards together works really well and it's one of the leading tools available for data visualization. It offers both cloud-based and on-premises options which makes it flexible for different needs. It also supports a wide range of data files like TXT, CSV and XLS and even the free version comes with surprisingly strong features compared to a lot of paid tools.
Cons
At times it tends to hang when working with large data files and it can use quite a bit of RAM and CPU while running.

“Quick visuals that are easy to learn”
Pros
In Tableau building visualizations is very easy thanks to the drag and drop setup. It lets me put together basic charts really quickly and getting started with the core features doesn't take much time at all because the learning curve is quite low.
Cons
Compared with scripting tools such as Python or R, it gives you less flexibility when it comes to fine-tuning detailed plot formatting.

“The best experience for data visuals”
Pros
Tableau has honestly been the best software I have used in my life. It has helped me in so many ways, from learning new things to managing everything more effectively. The data visualization tools are outstanding and truly felt life-changing to me. There is so much I could say about this tool that it would take pages once you start talking about it. The whole experience with data visualization, along with data import and export, makes it an excellent choice for data engineers and really makes work feel much better.
Cons
I really don't have anything bad to say about it.

“Colorful dashboards for sharing insights”
Pros
It makes it simple to build, maintain and share data with stakeholders. It's user friendly and offers a broad selection of colorful, visually appealing charts.
Cons
One issue I have run into is that when handling larger datasets, dashboards can take quite a while to load which can be frustrating for users.

“Affordable and interesting dashboards”
Pros
This is a user friendly and budget friendly tool that doesn't take long to learn and it turns data visualization into something both engaging and informative for everyone involved.
Cons
The only real issue comes up with mapping when trying to align different value types, like data pulled from Excel but aside from that it hasn't been a major obstacle.

“Old data with confusing navigation”
Pros
Tableau presents data in a visually appealing way and the filtering options are useful for narrowing down views of student information.
Cons
That said, it can be difficult to get to exactly what you need especially when switching between student data and teacher-specific data. On top of that our school does not have a reliable process for managing when and where the data is pulled so the analysis is often outdated or behind.

“Great visuals but keeps crashing”
Pros
Once I am actually able to access the features, there's a lot to appreciate here. The software offers plenty of options for presenting data in different ways which is something I really enjoy.
Cons
The biggest frustration is how often it crashes. I have been having a hard time keeping it running for any decent length of time without it failing.

“Fast dashboards with nice visuals”
Pros
Working with Tableau has been really satisfying especially because of the range of features it offers. Building dashboards is quick and easy and compared with Python tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn, I can create a professional, visually appealing report in just a few clicks. It presents my data in a clean and attractive way and helps me put together reports and dashboards that are informative, neat and engaging. It also makes it simple to create a strong data-driven story.
Cons
The licensing side is a bit frustrating for us since we have to pay for the product. Another issue is creating pop-up notifications on some dashboards. It can be done but it is not as user friendly as I expected.

“All your insights in one place”
Pros
Working with Tableau makes it simple to pull the exact data I need and break it down clearly. Everything is gathered in one place and displayed in readable graphs, tables and spreadsheets and it's convenient to move that information into Excel, Word and other tools when needed.
Cons
At times certain items can be a little difficult to find depending on how everything is set up although that seems to be more related to how the company organizes its folders than the software itself.
