“an amazing data visualization tool”
Pros
I like that it makes it simple to visualize a large amount of information all at once.
Cons
At times setting up a specific dashboard can be a bit tricky but once everything is in place, it usually runs without issues from there.

“Strong analytics with rich visuals”
Pros
Tableau stands out for handling complex datasets really well and turning the output into clear, meaningful and engaging visualizations. Of all the tools I know for this kind of work, this is still the best one.
Cons
There's definitely a steep learning curve and the price is on the high side. That said, both are understandable for a tool this capable but they're things to keep in mind before deciding to invest.

“Flexible filters with strong dashboards”
Pros
Tableau does an excellent job when it comes to building visualizations and reports. Being able to embed my Tableau project directly into a presentation is a really useful feature. I also appreciate the variety of filtering tools it offers since they give me much better control over how I work with and display my data.
Cons
It can be tough for beginners because there are so many tools and features to learn and the documentation still doesn't fully cover everything. On top of that the free version is only available on the web so it doesn't provide all of the platform's full capabilities.

“Strong analytics with good visuals”
Pros
Working with Tableau has been a very positive experience because it's a user friendly and scalable analytics platform that integrates with many different applications to pull meaningful insights from data. It makes database analysis much clearer by offering graphs that help with understanding, along with good support for end to end data blending, data preparation, data modeling, data visualization and data distribution. At my company, we rely on it to examine large databases and create predictive insights that support decision making. The learning curve is moderate rather than difficult and it offers a broad selection of visualizations, including tables and graphs. Importing data especially from Excel is also not a hassle when moving information into the platform.
Cons
The only real downside for me is the price since it can be too expensive for small businesses.

“Good visuals with chart variety”
Pros
It gives us a wide range of chart options and visualization styles which makes it possible to build all kinds of dashboards and present data in different ways.
Cons
The part I am least happy with is the licensing setup. It gets very expensive to roll dashboards out across the entire company since we have to pay for every individual user.

“drag and drop analytics are helpful”
Pros
Its research backed drag and drop approach to building visuals really changed the game. It has made life much easier for a lot of data analysts since the platform came along.
Cons
The custom visuals in it can be a little complicated to work with and community visuals aren't directly accessible.

“Great dashboards with flexible data prep”
Pros
Uploading data and turning it into visualizations, charts, graphics and dashboards is very easy with Tableau. It supports the main file types we use, including text CSV files, XLS spreadsheets and Google Sheets documents. There's also a free version that includes the core functionality which makes it a really good fit for a small business. If you eventually need more and want to move to a paid plan, the upgrade process is quite simple. On top of that the forums and user community are genuinely helpful for support, learning, improving your skills and building stronger visualizations.
Cons
Like most tools of this kind it still requires some time to explore and learn before you fully understand how it works and how to build professional presentations. Certain older versions also don't offer a rollback option. We've also run into a few limitations around sharing and analytics and I'd really like to see additional features added in those areas.

“Good visuals with strong connections”
Pros
It has been excellent for turning raw data into clear visualizations and the best part is that it can connect to data from almost any source. Working with metrics and dimensions is also very convenient since everything can be arranged with simple drag and drop actions.
Cons
It is quite expensive compared with other tools on the market. There is also a steep learning curve so you really need someone with good experience to get the most out of it.

“Strong dashboards with nice visuals”
Pros
Tableau really stands out to me because of its clean interface and how approachable it is to use. It lets you visualize large volumes of data very quickly and connect to all kinds of sources including Excel, text files and Google Drive. One thing worth highlighting is how simple the data visualization process is as you just drag and drop dimensions and measures into different templates and your data instantly turns into colorful, eye-catching charts in all kinds of formats. The dashboard layouts also look neat and well organized.
Cons
The part I am less happy with is the licensing since it feels somewhat expensive for the kind of work it does.

Pros
Getting started with this software was definitely challenging, even with my IT background but once I spent some time figuring it out, it really paid off. After learning how to use it properly, I was able to apply it both in my personal life and in my professional work.
Cons
There was a pretty steep learning curve and I did not come across much helpful learning material online at first. After digging around a bit more though, I was eventually able to find some instructions.
