“Easy dashboards with broad connections”
Pros
It was quick to learn. The interface is user friendly and it works with many data sources which makes analysis much easier.
Cons
The downside is the per-user pricing is a bit high so it may not be a cost-effective option for small or medium businesses with tighter budgets.

“Good visuals with useful insights”
Pros
This software really stands out for both functionality and how user friendly it is. I rely on it to build and evaluate my sales, customer experience and productivity goals. It also lets me compare my performance with teammates and others in my group without exposing my identity which is a big plus. The visual reports make it much faster to spot what needs attention and what actions to take next.
Cons
One issue I have run into is with a filter I set up to notify me by email once a week. I must have configured it incorrectly because it keeps sending messages every day instead. I still haven't figured out how to delete or fully remove it.

“Good dashboards for client reporting”
Pros
Presenting data to clients takes a lot less effort with Tableau. The dashboards are excellent and bringing in data is easy too. As someone with a Master's degree in data analytics, I really enjoy using Tableau.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve at first but once it clicks, the experience is excellent.

“Easy sharing and integration”
Pros
Changing and adjusting things in Tableau is very convenient and sharing documents with teammates is easy. Also it works well for adding content into presentations and publishing online and the integration with other tools like MS Office is a big plus.
Cons
One downside was the customer support. It didn't feel strong enough and getting in touch with the support team was not very easy.

“Flexible reporting with good visuals”
Pros
Creating and adjusting reports in this software feels very user friendly and it's simple to tailor everything to the way you want to view it. I also appreciate that it generates graphs and charts from the data points you provide.
Cons
When working with thousands of data points, pulling a specific report can be a bit slow and there's sometimes a slight lag. It's not a major issue but it can be a little frustrating now and then.

“drag and drop visuals work well”
Pros
Just moving fields around in Tableau makes it possible to build the exact visualizations I am looking for. At times dropping a field into the wrong spot even sparked new ideas for how to present our data. It's an incredibly powerful tool and with a great dataset, you can really create just about anything.
Cons
Using it every day I have noticed that many of its best capabilities are tucked away behind right-click menus and drop-down options. Sorting by multiple fields can also feel awkward when working with table-based presentations. On top of that getting data ready for it usually needs to happen in other ETL tools like QlikView, Python and similar software.

“Automate tasks with strong dashboards”
Pros
Tableau has outstanding data visualization capabilities. At an organization where most reporting and visualization used to be done in Excel, bringing Tableau into our team has been incredibly beneficial. It lets you build eye-catching, self explanatory dashboards that higher management can understand easily, even without any technical background. Also it handles large volumes of data very well and those datasets can be visualized without running into performance problems. One feature I appreciate most is report scheduling since reports can refresh automatically every day. I also really value how it integrates multiple different types of data sources in one place without much hassle.
Cons
Up to this point, I haven't run into anything that gets in the way of my work, as the tool has been meeting all of my expectations.

“Strong and easy to use analytics”
Pros
As an end user Tableau is very easy to work with. On the admin side, it does take a bit more effort to learn but with the online resources and tutorials available, once the initial training was done, my system administrator was able to handle everything I needed without any problems.
Cons
The only downside I'd mention is the time it takes for someone to get up to speed as an administrator for the platform. It's a pretty minor issue overall.

“Stable analytics but design feels old”
Pros
It handles large datasets and visualizations really well and it's been quite stable to work with.
Cons

“Turn Excel exports into polished dashboards”
Pros
Since most of my data is kept in Excel, I really appreciate that Tableau doesn't make me re-enter everything from scratch. I can export the data, jump straight into building visualizations and put reports together right away.
Cons
Without the right training, it's hard to get the most out of this software. It does a lot more than basic data entry and to me its real value is in data visualization which is why I chose it. A lot of the features aren't very self-explanatory so you end up needing extra effort and time watching their free videos to understand how to use them properly.

“Automated reports that get results”
Pros
One of the best parts is that it can pull data from external sources and you can even automate the process so reports are generated on their own.
Cons
Building things out can feel a little complicated if you don't have any programming logic. That said, if you've worked with programming before and know how to structure a proper flow, it becomes a very powerful tool.

“A great Tableau community”
Pros
The standout part for me has been the Tableau user community. People are incredibly supportive, constantly sharing ideas, pushing each other to improve and teaching new ways to create different kinds of dashboards.
Cons
It comes at a pretty high cost and there isn't a trial account available either.

Pros
Having all of the organization's information gathered in one place makes a big difference. Managing the data is also simple and the platform is quick and responsive. It's agile, dependable and the information is always available when I need it.

“Smart reporting with good visuals”
Pros
Tableau stands out as one of the best BI tools for visualization and reporting. The interface is very simple so almost anyone can pick it up without much trouble. It's a smart BI platform where you can simply drag and drop data and Tableau builds the charts for you. It also makes data cleaning and data management convenient and connecting to different datasets is very simple.
Cons
When it comes to the Server, the pricing is a bit on the expensive side. Overall it also costs more compared with other BI tools such as Power BI.

“Great visuals for beginners”
Pros
It felt like a great starting point for data visualization as a beginner in analytics. After cleaning and validating my data, importing it was easy and I could tailor it using different templates without much trouble. Another big plus is its community as it's very active and helpful. Questions in the forums usually get answered quickly.
Cons
If you're using it personally it can feel a bit expensive. They offer a free plan for students which is helpful but having a no-cost basic version for general users would make it much easier to learn the platform and make it more accessible overall.

“Visual storytelling that works”
Pros
Tableau lets me turn data into visuals that look professional and are much easier for my colleagues to understand. Compared with Excel, PowerPoint and other tools I have used for projects, it seems far more user friendly for presenting information clearly and attractively.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is more demo videos or step-by-step written guidance on using the software especially around the different ways to create visualizations from data.
