“Good visuals with strong analysis”
Pros
Tableau has really become the industry standard which gives a lot of confidence that it will perform the way you expect. It comes with excellent functionality and everything needed to build compelling visuals and deliver powerful analysis.
Cons
Honestly it's hard to point to a real downside. The only challenge is the learning curve required to get comfortable with the platform but training and educational resources are outstanding.

“Strong analytics with good visuals”
Pros
It is a highly interactive platform that presents data through graphs and charts in a way that really supports better decision-making. It handles statistical analysis very well and delivers excellent results. For business data analytics, it's an especially valuable tool.
Cons
It does take some time to learn and your data needs to be prepared in a format that works with the software.

“Flexible dashboards that adapt”
Pros
Among the data visualization tools I have used, Tableau stands out as one of the most powerful. It offers a high level of customization and can produce excellent dashboards once you know how to work with it properly.
Cons
Even with how efficient it is, it isn't necessarily the simplest software to learn or use.

“Strong dashboards with good visuals”
Pros
It covers pretty much everything needed for data visualization in one place. You can present information in both chart-based and tabular formats and the filtering plus ad-hoc querying on existing dashboards is simple enough for most users to handle.
Cons
The dashboard setup was fairly complicated and really needed the involvement of a BI analyst.

“Good visuals with strong analytics”
Pros
Tableau felt like one of the best business intelligence tools out there. Overall it's quite easy to use and offers great data analysis, visualization and presentation capabilities. The charts are also user friendly and there are plenty of built‑in options for things like coloring and formatting. So I can confidently say it has a strong competitive edge. It can genuinely transform how you handle data and solve reporting challenges in a very professional way.
Cons
At times it's not the most flexible option when it comes to numeric reporting. The interface can also feel a bit dated in places. These are only very minor drawbacks though. Overall, I would still strongly recommend the software.

“strong dashboards win”
Pros
Its reporting and dashboard capabilities are something I genuinely enjoy using. It lets you build advanced, highly interactive dashboards that make the data come alive through visualizations.
Cons
The part I am not happy with is the pricing because it is too expensive. If the cost were a bit lower, I am sure more people would be able to use it.

“Dashboards that impress people”
Pros
Tableau's dashboards are excellent and very effective and they add a lot when it comes to analyzing data and information. When I first started using Tableau, I was genuinely impressed by how many options it offers to users.
Cons
At certain times, the tool does run into performance issues and for anyone planning to use it over the long term, the cost can become quite high.

“Quick setup with strong insights”
Pros
This software was easy to set up and run and the installation went off without any issues. Another big plus is being able to access all the information you need on your own, without having to rely on asking someone else.
Cons
Understanding how to use it is not nearly as easy though. The learning curve is pretty steep and even people who already have experience with BI software can struggle to complete something when they are trying it for the first time.

“Polished templates with strong dashboards”
Pros
Tableau felt easier to use than many other data visualization tools. Although the full product is quite expensive, the free trial gave me a chance to try it. Building a data dashboard was fairly easy too and I really liked the ready made design templates that were available.
Cons
The biggest downside for me is still the price. It would be far more accessible to the general public if it were free or at least offered at a more budget-friendly cost.

“Good visuals for complex data”
Pros
It has been one of the best tools I have worked with for data visualization. It's been especially valuable for creating genome mapping trees which is no small task. It also does an excellent job of helping put disease clusters into a clearer visual perspective.
Cons
Getting the data ready took some adjustment at first especially coming from a background of mostly using SAS and Excel.

“Easy visual storytelling for everyone”
Pros
Creating data visualizations in Tableau feels very approachable, even without a strong technical background. The interface is user friendly and makes it simple to build dashboards and charts without needing a lot of specialized skills.
Cons
Keeping track of versions can be a little challenging. We usually end up saving several copies of dashboards to preserve older versions and that process can become confusing pretty quickly.

“Good visuals with strong analytics”
Pros
Using Tableau has been a really positive experience. It's user friendly, packed with useful functionality and its visualization capabilities are excellent. I also like how well it integrates with Python and R which makes advanced analysis much more convenient.
Cons
The documentation is quite extensive so it can take time to go through everything. Also, a few features are more complex to integrate than expected.

“Easy analytics with a helpful community”
Pros
Tableau is very easy to use and there are plenty of learning resources available. It's user friendly enough that you understand how it works pretty early on. Whenever you hit a roadblock, the forum is incredibly helpful as users are always willing to share advice and help you learn.
Cons
One thing to keep track of is the variety of license options available. I understand why they separate them based on the level of access a company needs but on our side, we have several different types of users so you really have to make sure you're buying the right license for each one.

“Account canceled and lost all setup”
Pros
I honestly don't see any real advantages, other than the fact that I haven't found any actual competitors.
Cons
Once the trial period ends they cancel your account and you lose all the setup work you already put in, without offering any flexibility or support. On top of that even after paying 800 euros, getting it activated is complicated.

Pros
Working with Tableau has been a really positive experience because it's user friendly and simple to navigate. Customizing dashboards and adjusting the layout and design is also very easy.
