“Visuals that consistently deliver results”
Pros
Using Tableau I can access cloud data through the online desktop version and the software is very user friendly while still being highly effective. It offers a professional set of tools that helps us pull information from data quickly and without much effort. Another strong point is its dynamic visual presentation which makes it much easier to share dashboards and insights with teams.
Cons
On the downside, the security feels quite concerning, the features are somewhat limited and the pricing is very high.

“Customize every element to perfection”
Pros
The report customization and all the different ways to visualize data are what I enjoy most about Tableau. Another big plus is the strong online community especially the Tableau help forum which is really useful when questions come up. It's also nice that the online version lets you handle most tasks, even though a few features still require the desktop app.
Cons
One thing that can be a little confusing is that some of the same features are located in different places between the desktop and online versions.

“comprehensive reporting with beautiful output”
Pros
Tableau comes with a wide range of features that are really useful for reporting and building data visualizations. It also works as a strong alternative to Power BI, with many of the same capabilities available.
Cons
Getting comfortable with it takes some time because it is not the most user friendly platform. With so many tools included, certain options can also be difficult to locate.

“Every dashboard offers actionable intelligence”
Pros
Building interactive, insightful dashboards feels very approachable, even without deep technical skills. The platform also works well with large datasets which helps me pull meaningful insights from my data without much trouble. On top of that the strong community support and wide range of training materials made getting started much more comfortable. I also appreciate the frequent updates and ongoing improvements that keep the software current and strong for data visualization.
Cons
At this point I really don't have any complaints as the software has completely changed how I handle reporting for my bookshop business.

“A major upgrade for data management”
Pros
Compared with Excel, Tableau handles collecting and managing large volumes of data much more effectively.
Cons
It still doesn't include every function Excel offers so we still end up moving reports over there. On top of that the learning curve is noticeably steeper than with Excel.
