“Captures meetings really well”

Pros

Acta.ai automatically pulls out the important data points, highlights the key discussion points and summarizes the main takeaways from meetings so there's no longer any need to keep noting everything down with pen and paper. It also creates the action items from the meeting which is very useful.

Cons

At times the transcription is not fully accurate. I have especially run into this issue as a Hindi speaker.

Pros

During online meetings, it acts like a helpful assistant by offering several useful features that generate summaries, important notes and keywords once the meeting is over. Everything is also handled automatically so there's no need to do it manually and the results are very accurate. Because of this the whole virtual meeting experience becomes much better especially for people who work remotely.

Cons

It is like a smart addition to the world of virtual meetings and there really isn't much to dislike about it aside from the pricing which could be an issue for some users.

“Its a smart tool”

Pros

it is like a professional tool that's genuinely useful across schools, colleges, offices and even government departments. It also connects well with video conferencing apps like Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. While a meeting is going on, it automatically captures key notes, picks out the important topics and once the meeting ends, it provides a full summary of the discussion. All of this happens quietly in the background without interrupting anyone.

Cons

I would say it is a bit expensive for many users but other than the pricing, there really isn't much to dislike.

“Helpful summaries but security worries me”

Pros

One of the biggest benefits of this tool is that it converts meeting discussions into text and summarizes key outcomes, action items and topics. Plus it works as a browser extension and an agent joins the meeting to listen to the conversation.

Cons

Our concern is mainly around security. Because our company has very strict internal policies which means bringing a third-party participant into meetings is not allowed.

“Fits well into every meeting”

Pros

Acta works directly inside Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom so I can keep using my usual meeting platforms without changing how I work. Before this I would have needed different tools for different meeting apps which was a hassle. The setup was also quick just a simple installation and it was ready to use.

Cons

A few transcripts were not consistently accurate especially when accents were involved or there was a lot of background noise in a busy environment. Oddly enough using noise canceling headphones seemed to make it even worse. I am hoping this gets improved.
