“Terrible Quality of Customer Support
Pros
There's always a steady flow of projects and smaller tasks to keep me busy.
Cons
My entire experience with Appen was really unpleasant, but if I had to highlight one aspect, it would definitely be the quality of their customer support. I was particularly frustrated with how they handled a payment setup issue I had. Despite providing detailed information about the problem, including a screenshot of the error message and even a copy of my government-issued ID, I felt like they brushed off my concerns without digging into the issue. The responses I received were very generic, just explaining the payment setup process again and again. I also asked about the status of my payment in their system, but that question was ignored. Even after trying the process again and getting the same error, when I reached out for further help, they simply said they couldn't proceed with my application and closed the case. Right after that, my Appen account was deactivated. After putting so much effort and time into the whole process, I was really let down by the level of support. It felt like the team didn't make much of an effort to resolve the issue, and maybe they just lacked the ability to properly assist their users.

“Not a huge fan
Pros
What truly stands out to me about this software is how it's tailored specifically for freelance work. It provides a dedicated space where freelancers like myself can find various opportunities suited to our skills. Unlike more general softwares, this one focuses entirely on freelance projects, making it much easier for me to connect with clients looking for short-term or task-based work.
Cons
I find this program incredibly hard to use. It's been months since I applied for a job through them, mainly because I can't bring myself to go through the hassle of figuring out how to work with this software again.

“completely satisfied
Pros
I appreciate the reliable, on-time payments, the responsive customer service, and the consistent emails I receive whenever I submit a question.
Cons
Maybe I'm a bit slow, or maybe some of the tasks are just too monotonous and unfamiliar for me to really succeed at them. Every now and then, I disagree with how they assess my work.

Pros
Appen offers a really interactive interface, and it also provides flexible work opportunities, letting me work from anywhere. Plus, the navigation tools are very easy.
Cons
One major downside with Appen is that their payment processing often takes much longer than expected. Also, the availability of certain tasks can be pretty limited.

“Leading Provider of AI Training Data and Services.
Pros
The features I enjoy the most are its customizability and the wide variety of tasks, such as data annotation, collection, and text categorization. What makes it easier to use for me are the clear instructions, the training, and the support provided. And, thanks to integration with other apps, it streamlines workflows and data sharing, which is really beneficial for clients with existing infrastructure who want a smooth incorporation of Appen's services.
Cons
What bothers me most about Appen is their customer support and how they handle issues. It's really important to have responsive support and quick issue resolution, especially when I had trouble with my invoice and payment method during a project like Crescent. I experienced delays in getting a response, and when I did, there was no helpful feedback. I'd really like to see them improve their support channels and work on resolving problems faster to improve the overall experience for their users.

“Best software for Crowdsourcing and for Remote workers also
Pros
What I love most about Appen is how it simplifies data collection tasks and offers remote work for those doing micro-tasks. It's definitely one of the best softwares for micro-earning, and it allows clients to get the data they need from contributors, especially for training AI models. I genuinely enjoy working with Appen.
Cons
I don't have many complaints about Appen, but there are times when some tasks aren't available to contributors. It would also be nice if clients continued working with us on future projects after completing tasks. Other than that, I don't have many dislikes.

“Appen for data collection
Pros
It mainly works as a data collection agent, using a smart system where users are incentivized to complete tasks.
Cons
The status of project applications can be really frustrating, especially since they don't provide any feedback. Plus, they only offer one payment option, Payoneer and the withdrawal limit is set quite high.

“appen good for data and surveys
Pros
I didn't have to spend a lot of time learning how to use the features because everything was laid out in a clear, logical manner. The simplicity of the design really enhances the overall experience, allowing me to focus on the tasks at hand rather than struggling with complicated menus or settings. It's refreshing to use software that makes things so easy, especially when I'm juggling multiple projects.
Cons
What I liked least was how long it took to receive survey opportunities.

“Great for doing tasks and earning rewards.
Pros
One of the best features of Appen is that it rewards users for completing tasks like web captures and translations. The interface is super easy to set up, and you can also sell your projects on the software. It's basically like a freelancing site, and it's fantastic for earning incentives through tasks.
Cons
The fact that you can only withdraw money through Payoneer is a bit of a hassle. It's not convenient for everyone to use that method.

“Best for software for earnings
Pros
It's quite simple to earn money just by completing small tasks on Appen. It offers survey tasks, and it's a free and straightforward way to make extra cash.
Cons
There's a transaction fee when withdrawing money, which can be frustrating. I've also noticed some slow responses from the app, along with glitches in the language, making it hard to read. Tasks also take a long time to complete.
