“customizeed fit for our workflow”

Pros

One thing that has worked really well is how customized the solution is to what we actually need. It fits around our business model instead of forcing us to adjust to the software. It's built around our customers, our products and the way requests really come in which makes it more valuable and practical over time. The initial setup was easy too!

Cons

At the same time the documentation and overall visibility into how some of the logic works could definitely be better. We've needed more clarity in that area and having that transparency earlier would have helped set expectations and cut down on the back and forth. During UAT we also noticed a few gaps between the original requirements and what was actually implemented. To stay on top of that we keep an "Open Tasks" tracking sheet so there's clear visibility into outstanding items, scope coverage and follow through.

“powerful document extraction support”

Pros

Working with this software has been a very positive experience especially given how challenging unstructured construction documents can be at the volumes we handle. Their team is clearly focused on helping businesses with document understanding and data extraction in this complex space. The interface is easy which makes it much simpler to capture and pull the specific metadata we care about. On top of that they've been consistently helpful with ongoing model training, improving accuracy over time and helping us get more value from the technology.

Cons

Like any AI based solution it still has limitations and you need enough data volume to build a model that performs well. That said it does make an effort to close that gap by offering support around data consumption for model training.

“responsive support and fast setup”

Pros

Using the AI assisted questions feature building models can be done pretty quickly. The main customer support director is also highly responsive and has been very helpful with both training and troubleshooting.

Cons

Troubleshooting communication around model development usually happens the next morning because of the US India time difference. The questions feature still feels a bit beta in places such as returning text blocks with carriage returns between every word. Model configuration management also needs better structure and tooling so we ended up creating separate regions for Dev, Test and Prod. Other than that the model copy feature doesn't work which means duplication has to be done manually. To their credit they did handle a manual overnight duplication for a 70-field model.

“faster AP data entry”

Pros

Working with this tool has noticeably cut down the time spent on accounts payable data entry. The interface feels clean and uncluttered and it gives enough flexibility to adjust the fields used for data extraction without feeling restricted.

Cons

At times it is not fully accurate with certain details which can be frustrating. It also occasionally struggles with invoices that have unusual layouts or more complex structures.

“great tool”

Pros

A thing that really helps is the availability of pre built models for a wide range of document types including invoices and other unusual formats. The ability to train models for specific document categories is also valuable because it saves me from having to manually pre process those more uncommon cases.

Cons

Still struggles when documents come in mixed layouts or poorly structured formats. Cases like invoices using different fonts, complicated tables spread across multiple pages or documents with handwritten notes can be difficult for it to handle.
