low hit rate and missing data

Pros

Getting started with this tool is quick and the onboarding process is simple. It also connects well with our CRM which was a plus. If the hit rate for ideal customer profiles were better, it could have been a very useful tool.

Cons

This hasn't worked out as a tool I'd recommend because the hit rate is too low. Even after working closely with their support team to try to improve the results, the quality of the companies and contact lists is still not where it needs to be. With matched audience lists, we only saw about a 5% success rate in finding the customer profiles we were actually targeting. Because of that, we moved on to other prospecting platforms that reliably deliver 40-50% ideal customer profiles. That gap makes a huge difference in the amount of time spent on prospecting. It is missing important company details like organizational structure so we've had to spend a lot of extra time figuring out whether a company is a parent company or a subsidiary.

Powerful b2b list building

Pros

It stands out to me as a dedicated B2B list-building platform and even more than that, it creates real value as both a sales enablement tool and an ABM solution.

Cons

No platform does it all and it isn't trying to be a Swiss Army knife. It's clearly built for list building, while continuing to add features that support that core purpose. If I needed contact data specifically, I wouldn't pick it over ZoomInfo but when it comes to list building, I also wouldn't choose ZoomInfo over Ocean.

Have had a good experience

Pros

We've been using a small set of key accounts to uncover entire verticals filled with very similar lookalikes and that's been really valuable.

Cons

At times, the tags on our input accounts were a bit inaccurate which affected the accounts in the export. That said this has improved since then.

lead generation done right

Pros

Getting new leads with this has been really simple and it outperforms Similarweb by a wide margin.

Cons

It gives us everything we need and our reps are genuinely excited to use it.

Fantastic lead discovery tool

Pros

Felt very adaptive to use it and it was useful for identifying relevant leads in the markets we were targeting. The HubSpot integration is definitely a benefit and exporting lists is quick and hassle-free which I really appreciate.

Cons

One limitation is that in some parts of Europe, certain companies don't have individual contact details available.

Great software

Pros

Right away, it impressed me with how many tools it brings together, from industry reports and useful insights to market research and strong data. It gives plenty of information to help with decision-making and stay ahead of competitors. The layout is also user-friendly so moving around the platform and finding the information I need doesn't take much time.

Cons

Something that bothered me was how limited the free version of it is in terms of features and functionality. the premium plan feels a bit too expensive for a small business.

Easy to use

Pros

Across our different markets, we're able to research leads and segment them by country, products, technologies and other criteria. the platform gives us additional useful details which helps us tailor our sales approach to each company individually. The feature that really won me over was the HubSpot integration because it shows us exactly which leads are already stored in our CRM.

Cons

Features I'd still like to see in it are visibility into which companies ship their products to which countries, the ability to identify which companies offer a subscription service

good customer support

Pros

At least with this tool, you're no longer buying contact data blind and hoping for the best...you can research very specifically. Narrowing results by location, employee count and building lookalikes improves the quality of the results a lot. Being able to create search lists across teams also makes collaborative research much more practical. The support is honestly outstanding, Ive rarely had this level of help with any software. New features are being added continuously and the connection between websites and social media is really useful when trying to identify the right contacts.

Cons

The export limit per month is currently too low for our needs. At the same time, it doesn't really make financial sense for us to increase it because, compared with other address providers, you still Cant automatically export a contact person together with fully correct address data here. That means some manual follow-up research is still necessary so we tend to use it more as a research tool and then fill in the missing information ourselves. The option to export lists directly to LinkedIn for Matched Audiences is, in principle, brilliant. Unfortunately, I Cant really make use of it because one company counts as one export. So if you want to build a list of 500 companies, your entire monthly quota is basically gone right away. That's a shame because otherwise it would be an excellent way to improve LinkedIn targeting. You can tell the software is still relatively young so there are a few rough edges in how it works. Still, I don't necessarily see that as a real downside because right now you also get the feeling of being part of something new and innovative.

highly adaptive

Pros

The sibling search function has been the biggest game-changer for our team. Without this tool it's actually really difficult to identify relevant companies across different countries especially since IoT is such a broad and abstract industry. the adaptive interface and user-friendly design make onboarding new users very simple for us.

Cons

From where I sit I honestly don't see any real downsides. If there's one area worth improving though, it would be better interoperability with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Liked using it overall

Pros

Connecting it with our sales CRM has worked really well. It's simple to use and the amount of information and prospect data available is a big plus.

Cons

Overall we're very happy with the system. The only extra feature I'd love to see is contact details for the key people at each prospect.

amazing lookalike and linkedin search

Pros

The lookalike feature helps uncover data that would be extremely difficult to find anywhere else. Being able to search for contacts on LinkedIn with Boolean support is also a big advantage and makes prospecting much more effective.

Cons

The per-record cost when exporting prospect data directly from the platform is not good

Precise targeting with strong AI

Pros

It helps us identify companies that truly match our target audience. Thanks to the precise filters and the really capable AI, the whole process has become much more simple.

Cons

There are barely any downsides, honestly. The only thing I'd mention is that the price could be a bit lower but overall it still feels completely reasonable.

targeted outreach with useful insights

Pros

One of the biggest advantages for us was being able to identify companies facing challenges similar to those of our existing customers. That makes it much easier to reach out with a more relevant approach and show that we already have experience with comparable situations.

Cons

At the moment, we mainly export the data into a CRM. It would be even better to have more integrations and additional interface options available.
