I find that the SuperAnnotate software addresses a frequent challenge in our field, the rapid curation of expert annotations. With medical imaging datasets having limited training data, I often start with image segmentation based on expert annotations. Previously, I used a mix of different tools for annotation, quality control, and neural network training, but it was tedious to switch between various software and intermediate annotation masks. What I particularly appreciate about SuperAnnotate is its integrated, streamlined workflow that includes AI-enhanced annotation, quality control, and neural network training. I've left a review on TrustPilot with similar feedback, though I've rephrased it to avoid repeating myself.

Cons

I was concerned that I couldn't upload annotation masks created manually or on other softwares. However, the team quickly introduced a feature that allows uploading of annotation masks, enabling me to use annotations from previous projects. Their responsiveness has left me really satisfied.

It would be great if we could customize the colors for objects and tags. When you're annotating an object with more than one selection area, like a polygon or a box, using the same name for each one can get a bit confusing.

The admin functions are quite limited. Managing users and projects takes a lot of time and involves repeating the same steps over and over.

The communication and support have been outstanding. From the sales team to the demo team and customer support, everyone has been excellent throughout the process. Recently, we were given access to the SDK by support to test out features not available in the interface and to improve our pipeline, and it has been working perfectly.

Cons

The interface is not clear enough when you're trying to link a new annotation to an existing one, and undoing that takes several steps. It would be better if the cursor could change color or shape, like into an "X," to indicate you're about to use an existing annotation. And if you could undo it with just one click, that would be even better.
