“Amazing digital workflow system”
Pros
Shop Monkey has been such a game-changer for our shop. We've completely switched to digital workflows, so now we're totally paperless with all our work orders. It's made keeping track of everything we do much more organized and efficient. Plus, it's helped improve communication between our management team, technicians and admin staff. The time clock feature has been a huge help too, it lets us track how much time is spent on jobs and measure technician performance, making everything run smoother.
Cons
The customer support could really use some improvement. The response times aren't what I expected and when they do get back to me, it's often way later than I needed help. We had a situation where the reps were quoting us American prices in Canadian dollars and there were also issues with tax integration between Shopmonkey and QuickBooks Online (QBO).

“Quick and efficient”
Pros
Honestly, the ease of use is one of the best parts. The controls are super intuitive and easy to use. The canned services feature has been a lifesaver for our shop too, it really streamlines things.
Cons
Sometimes the interface can be a bit slow to load. On top of that, I haven't noticed any significant new features being added in the last few years, which is a bit disappointing.

“My top pick for managing a shop”
Pros
Our customers love that they can pay directly through the app. It's one less thing they have to worry about and makes the whole process faster and more convenient for everyone.
Cons
It's occasionally slow but honestly, it's not a huge deal. It doesn't happen all the time, so it's manageable.

“I'm happy I chose Shopmonkey”
Pros
The Shopmonkey screen is clean, simple and easy to follow. It's also really user-friendly, which makes it easy for everyone in the shop to get the hang of, even if they aren't super tech-savvy.
Cons
I'm a little frustrated because Shopmonkey hasn't implemented many of the suggestions I've made to make the fleet side of the program work better for us. That said, I understand that I'm not the only customer using Shopmonkey, so I guess I can't expect everything to be tailored to my specific needs.

“Great program just needs some tweaks”
Pros
It has been amazing at keeping my work orders organized and sorted into different categories. I love that I don't have to dig through paper tickets anymore and I can easily search for tickets by keywords. It's also super handy for tracking employee hours and I can even run payroll reports right from the timeclock page.
Cons
My biggest issue right now is the syncing with QuickBooks. After the 2.0 update, my inventory didn't transfer over correctly, and it's messing with my numbers. It's also a pain because if something doesn't show up in Shopmonkey, I have to go to QuickBooks to find the item and its price. Since I'm the only one who can do that, it makes my job a lot harder. I also wish the paid invoices and invoices would sync directly with QuickBooks instead of going through Accounting Link first. They're working on some of these problems but it's a slow process.

“Good fit for my business”
Pros
It's really simple to use when I need to look up past services for a customer. Navigation is smooth and I can quickly get to the info I need without any problem.
Cons
Sometimes it's a little slow and there are times when you have to try things more than once before they actually work. It can be annoying but not the end of the world.

“Thanks to Shopmonkey”
Pros
It does a fantastic job of organizing everything, from customers and fleets to vehicles and all the notes and photos from our technicians. It's been really useful for giving customers a complete report of services performed. Anytime I've had an issue, getting in touch with support has been pretty easy and they're quick to either resolve the problem or give me more details so I can get it sorted out.
Cons
We've had some issues with Shopmonkey's inventory system, especially when it pulls items from our stock while building an estimate. Because of this, we ended up moving to a different platform for handling sales orders, purchase orders and inventory logistics. It just wasn't working well for us.
