“Best tool for shop management
Pros
I'm so glad we switched to Tekmetric! Honestly, we were a bit nervous about the change at first but it was such a smooth transition. The customer service team was amazing and super helpful the whole way through. If you're on the fence about it, just go for it, you won't regret it! It's made things so much easier for everyone, from the service advisors to the technicians and even our customers. The text feature is a huge hit, customers can review inspection results, check estimates and approve repairs with just a click. The system is really streamlined and everything is integrated, making our workflow way smoother than before. Plus, It is always improving based on feedback, which is awesome. They even have a feature request system, so they really listen to what shops need and make updates that actually matter. I highly recommend Tekmetric if you want to boost efficiency and improve the customer experience!
Cons
Nothing negative. Our customers really love the text feature! They can check inspection results, review estimates and approve repairs with just a click.

“Everything runs without a hitch
Pros
I love how many integrations It offers! It makes everything so much quicker and easier. As they keep adding new features, managing our shop is becoming even smoother. It's like they're constantly evolving and it's really helping us out.
Cons
Honestly, we haven't come across anything we don't like with Tekmetric. We've tried other programs, but It's hands down the best.

“It simplifies everything
Pros
I really like how simple Tekmetric is to use. It's smooth and the communication with customers is great too. Makes everything easier and more efficient.
Cons
One area that could use some improvement is the bookkeeping side. It's a bit tricky to track credits and accounts payable at times.

“Perfect for both customers and staff
Pros
Tekmetric is super easy to get the hang of right from the start. The layout is simple but effective and it's great for customers to see their inspection pictures and estimates without having to sit around at the shop. The customer support team is always friendly and helpful and I use the system every day.
Cons
I can't think of anything I dislike about it. They've worked out all the kinks in frequent updates, so it just keeps getting better.

“Ultimate tool
Pros
As one of the first shops to adopt Tekmetric, I've had the chance to watch it grow and evolve and it's been amazing. From day one, it's changed how we run things, making everything more streamlined and improving both customer experience and profitability. The interface is really easy and managing estimates, workflows and invoices is smooth. With real-time data, we can make decisions quicker, which keeps everything running smoothly. The digital vehicle inspections and automated approvals have built so much trust with our customers, they can see exactly what we see, and that speeds up approvals. It is so much more than just software, it's part of our success. The team is always improving it, listening to real shop owners and adapting to our needs. You don't see that a lot with companies these days. If you care about efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability, It is definitely the way to go. It's been a total game-changer for us at ABR Houston and Haven Automotive and I wouldn't run a shop without it.
Cons
Reporting could be a little better, it's not quite where I'd like it to be. But third-party services like Okctorocket and Changepoint can pull the info you need. Also, the inventory system could use a revamp but I've heard it's coming soon, so I'm looking forward to that.

Pros
It is so easy to use and adapt to our shop. It's made things so much smoother.
Cons
It would be great to have a built-in messaging system in the software that alerts users, instead of relying on text messages. That would streamline communication a lot.

“Really transformed things
Pros
This software completely changed how our shop operates. Before, we were using different systems for different tasks and it was hard to get a full picture of what was going on. Now, we don't need Mitchell for SMS, AutoVitals for DVIs or separate CRM software. Tekmetric does it all, with built-in features and integrations with other programs. The canned jobs and smart jobs have cut down the time it takes to write up a new RO or build an estimate. The transition was super easy, thanks to all the FAQs and training articles plus their team helped us transfer all our customer data and invoice history. Everyone on the team was excited about the change and we all wish we'd made the switch sooner.
Cons
The whole system is cloud-based which is awesome because you can access your shop from anywhere on any device. But, it does mean that you need a good internet connection and if Tekmetric has an outage, it could affect your access.

“Completely changed my shop's operations
Pros
It has been a huge time-saver for me. It lets me give both customers and staff a clear view of what each car needs to be in top condition. The inventory and estimating systems are super easy to use and it takes the pressure off me when I need to communicate details with customers. I can add everything to the estimate easily, which makes everything run more smoothly.
Cons
Not a huge deal but it would be nice if Tekmetric referred to models without a superlative in their subtype as "base," especially when working on higher-end cars like a Mercedes S600. Also, I've been told it's not fully compliant with Florida's "right to an estimate" law, so I have to have customers sign a separate form.

“Totally worth the price
Pros
We switched from Mitchell looking for something more affordable but Tekmetric turned out to be so much better that price didn't even matter. From the start, it was clear that Tekmetric's features were far more complete and functional. The transition was smooth, with great support and data import was easy and very thorough. The system's intuitive, so we were up and running in no time. It also has awesome integrations, like parts ordering from multiple vendors and online payment options. Plus, getting a car's service history from Car Fax at the touch of a button is a game-changer. Tekmetric is now the backbone of our daily operations and we rarely need customer support but when we do, it's always easy to get help. I also love that Tekmetric keeps adding features and actively listens to user suggestions for improvements.
Cons
One thing I wish Tekmetric had is the ability to change the order of items within a particular job. That would make things a bit easier.

“One app that does it all
Pros
It is possibly the most comprehensive app I've seen for auto repair. It's super easy to save vehicle inspections with photos and sharing those inspections with customers is easy.
Cons
Inspections are on a separate tab from estimates right now. I'd love to see an option to include inspections in the estimates as part of the job. Also, being able to print all reports would be really helpful. The work-approved date and time on invoices should be optional, in my opinion.

Pros
I love how well Tekmetric organizes everything on one page. It makes managing all the information so much easier and more efficient.
Cons
It would be nice to be able to organize and prioritize labor and parts lines. Right now, they can't be moved around which is a bit limiting. Hopefully, this feature will come soon!
