“no need to deal with a VPN”
Pros
Being web based is a big plus especially since there's no need to deal with a VPN anymore.
Cons
One issue is that emails frequently get flagged as spam and the default voice settings can't be changed or slowed down.

“Helpful templates”
Pros
It is user friendly and the templates help speed up responses quite a bit.
Cons
I haven't run into any real issues so far. One thing I'm curious about though, is whether voice to text is available now or planned for the future.

“simple to use platform”
Pros
Getting started has been easy and the platform is simple to use. The support team has also been excellent, always available whenever help is needed.
Cons
The downside is that feature updates have taken longer than expected. There are still a few improvements we've been waiting on since we first signed up and the rollout has been pretty slow.

“user friendly tool”
Pros
Right from the start, Regroup felt very user friendly. The interface is well designed and the dashboard puts everything in one place, including report summaries. Admins can send notifications from any browser or through the mobile app and it's possible to reach people instantly by email, text, phone call or app notification. Creating a message is quick too, just click New Post, choose a prebuilt template and send it out. There are also options to keep customized templates and posts ready to go which saves time. The reports include charts directly on the page making it simple to track usage and see how many people received the message. Setup and installation were simple and the system is approachable enough that you don't need an IT person to manage it. Support has been excellent as well.
Cons
At this point we really haven't run into any problems with the system. It handles everything we need it to do and there aren't any real drawbacks to mention. Overall, it's been a solid product.

“support is available whenever you need it”
Pros
Being able to manually upload groups and pull them from datasets is really useful. Having groups prepopulated makes creating emergency notifications much faster. Texting, along with the student opt out process, is fairly painless. Setting up users with admin access is easy and the training is also simple to get through. Support is available when needed. The texting add on and carrier work without much hassle and they seem reliable as a texting aggregator. Cost wise, it's currently one of the better options compared with others, both for texting and overall user count.
Cons
A con is that any admin level user can overwrite groups. Group member counts depend on the existing contact information and manual uploads do not always show up accurately. The shared opt out setup is also a problem. If someone belongs to multiple organizations using this software, opting out of one can remove them from the entire platform. Support has not been very effective, mainly because response times are slow and higher level technical questions like importing custom fields are not well understood. The biggest limitation is the lack of mail merge which really hurts the ability to customize messages. There was supposedly an update planned to add it but we ended up moving to a different mass communication system because we needed that feature.
