“excellent support team”

Pros

Customer service and support have been outstanding. The implementation went extremely well and we've had consistent, direct communication with our Account Manager throughout the process. We were able to set up efficient workflows that work well for our different teams and the platform itself has been very user friendly. Overall, the experience of using the system has been excellent.

Cons

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. We haven't run into any problems with the system and even with multiple departments using it for different purposes, the rollout has gone very well for everyone.

“great features”

Pros

Being able to highlight specific areas on the map for notifications is probably my favorite feature. It's also really helpful to have the option to reach a large group of customers all at once when sending out alerts.

Cons

An issue is that it organizes and filters customers by name and/or address, while we handle everything by account number. Because of that, it's difficult for us when sorting or selecting can't be done based on account number.

“Campus wide messaging made better”

Pros

Reaching the entire campus quickly through a single platform has been a big plus. The connection between our database system and this software, where all our users are listed is very user friendly. It also helps that you can set up different messaging groups so notifications can be customized to exactly the right audience.

Cons

Something that would make it even better is having user updates run automatically every night instead of needing a manual upload. That may already be possible but I'm not sure.

“quick setup”

Pros

The functionality it offers along with how simple it is to use has been amazing.

Cons

We only began using this software within the past year and up to this point, we really haven't run into any major issues.

“setting up subscriber groups was simple”

Pros

It is easy to use and setting up subscriber groups was simple.

Cons

It doesn't offer much flexibility for customization and customer support is slow to respond and rarely resolves things on the first call.

“powerful multi channel alerts”

Pros

Something that really stands out is how a single message can be turned into an email, a text and even a landline phone call. The delivery reporting is excellent as well and makes it very clear who received the notification.

Cons

The biggest downside is the cost. We're currently looking at other options because of pricing. When we originally chose this, it was the only service that could handle communication across all three channels we needed, email, text and landline. Now there are competitors offering the same kind of coverage at a lower price. Their pricing is based on the number of numbers rather than the number of contacts.

“great multichannel reach”

Pros

Being able to use the "draw on map" feature to target the exact areas where I need to send notifications has been incredibly helpful. Having three ways to communicate with customers, calls, texts and emails, has also been very useful and gives me the flexibility I need.

Cons

I really don't have any complaints about the system. It does exactly what we need it to do and even when other companies have reached out to us, we've chosen to stay with Regroup.

“Responsive support team”

Pros

Having the ability to customize contact groups in so much detail makes this platform incredibly flexible. The system is very simple to use and sending messages fast during emergencies is possible from a computer, phone or tablet. Another big plus is the excellent customer service. We can always reach a real person when we have questions or run into any issues.

Cons

User management can be a bit tricky at times. Uploading large groups with CSV files takes some effort to figure out and managing user profiles both inside specific groups and across the full system can also become confusing.

“User friendly alerts”

Pros

A big plus is the interface especially the Active Directory integration for identifying groups. It gives our Communications team easy ways to send out notifications quickly whenever urgent issues come up.

Cons

Something that hasn't worked as well is user cleanup. Disabled accounts in Active Directory don't seem to be removed from Regroup automatically so we regularly end up with more users in it than in AD and have to manually purge them from time to time.

“excellent cost for value”

Pros

Managing multiple lists, templates and messages with this software has been great and it does a fantastic job helping us stay connected with our faculty, staff and student community. The pricing is very competitive compared to similar platforms and the support we received after the setup phase has been outstanding.

Cons

Getting everything configured at the beginning was challenging and it often felt like our team was left to figure out the import setup on our own in order to make the system work the way we needed.

“handy group messaging setup”

Pros

Setting up and using it has been going really well and creating groups for the different needs across our organization works really well.

Cons

One frustration on the mobile app is that it's hard to scroll back through the text box while writing a message to make edits or delete something. Adding templates would probably make that process much simpler.

“simple to setup admin controls”

Pros

Having the option to assign different roles to different admins is a big plus since each person can manage the messages that matter to them. The 2.0 updates have also made a noticeable difference by making message sending much faster and more effortless. Another feature that works really well is the ability to create a group of groups within channels which makes it much simpler to set up admin control across multiple groups and send messages to all of them at once. I'll admit the switch from groups to channels took a little time to get used to but once it clicks, it's something you end up being really satisfied with.

Cons

There are a few unique situations on our side because we upload several different files, each containing different data. Right now, our IT department is working with Regroup on a solution that would allow multiple files to be uploaded without updating or changing the data in other groups.

“Convenient to use from anywhere”

Pros

It works both in the app on smart devices and on a computer which makes it convenient to use from anywhere. Messages can be scheduled to go out to specific groups at set times. Everyone is entered into the system during orientation and after that, managers can create smaller department groups. If a shift needs coverage quickly, sending a Regroup message is a fast way to reach the whole department. You can also choose whether the message goes out as a phone call, text, email or any mix of all three.

Cons

A limitation is that text messages are capped at 160 characters. If the message goes over that limit, the group receives a link to the post instead. There are definitely times when I wish I had room for just a few more characters.

“reliable emergency communication”

Pros

This has made a big difference in how we handle communication. It helps us stay ready to share information quickly during an emergency and we also rely on it every week to communicate with our entire staff. This software has really changed the way we keep everyone informed.

Cons

So far I don't have any complaints. It has genuinely improved the way we communicate.

“solid setup experience”

Pros

Getting started with it is pretty simple and it offers several ways to interact whether you're managing it as an admin or using it as an end user.

Cons

For a system you hope you never actually need in an emergency, there's still quite a bit to configure and maintain to make sure everyone gets contacted when something happens. I also wish new users could be added automatically as part of the new hire onboarding process.

“fast staff alerts and safety coordination”

Pros

The software is simple to access and provides a fast way to notify staff when an incident is taking place, while also helping everyone follow safety procedures for entering or leaving the building.

Cons

An inconvenience is that new users need to set up their account on a computer before they can sign in through the mobile app. It would be much more convenient if the entire setup could be completed directly in the app.
