“useful call forwarding”

Pros

One of the most useful parts has been the AI generated notes for phone calls since they make it simple to look back at conversations or pass details along to the rest of the team. Having call forwarding and queue features available across multiple devices is also very convenient.

Cons

I do wish messages and texts had autocorrect built in. Importing contacts that are already saved on a device could also be a lot easier.

“wifi calling from anywhere is great to have”

Pros

Being able to run it over Wi Fi is a big advantage because it gives us access from virtually anywhere in the world without depending on cell network coverage.

Cons

The interface looks a bit dated and really needs an update. The app also gets buggy from time to time and that can interfere with calls.

“frustrating admin setup”

Pros

It's Visual IVR Editor was genuinely impressive. I haven't come across another phone system that offers that level of functionality and when others do include something similar, it usually feels much more limited. We also appreciated being able to create and manage administrative roles for staff.

Cons

There were quite a few things that didn't work for us with RingCX. First, the admin experience is split across multiple pages and sites just to access the portal or make changes, instead of everything being available in one place. On top of that customer support was consistently disappointing, they couldn't answer basic questions and were not timely when we needed help. It also wasn't very user friendly for end users. Having to involve a manager just to check a department's voicemail is a poor use of staff time and even when voicemail access is granted, needing to use a separate website makes the process even more inefficient. Limiting voicemail checks to administrators only was especially frustrating and felt like a bad design choice.

“Helpful cross device communication”

Pros

Having the ability to use it both through the phone app and on a computer is really helpful. It makes day to day communication much more convenient.

Cons

Something that really bothers me is how often this software has downtime. At least once a week, the service seems to go down and that gets frustrating fast.

“clean layout”

Pros

The screen layout is visually appealing and most of the platform feels very user friendly to work with.

Cons

Even though it's generally user friendly some tasks still take quite a few steps to complete. That said, it feels like a pretty minor issue compared to everything else.

“powerful omnichannel dashboard”

Pros

One of the best parts of RingCX is its user friendly omnichannel interface which lets agents manage voice, chat, SMS and social media interactions all from one dashboard.

Cons

A downside is that it can occasionally have latency issues during peak usage and the reporting tools offer limited customization options.

“handy phone dial in option”

Pros

It's really helpful that I can join calls from my phone whenever I don't have access to speakers or a camera.

Cons

The phone dial in feature is useful but having to enter so many codes and passwords can be a bit much even though I understand it's there for security reasons.

“simple to leave voicemails”

Pros

Call quality has been consistently excellent and making calls or leaving voicemails is very simple. I haven't used the video calling feature so I can't really comment on that part.

Cons

Getting everything set up was a little complicated and I needed help from IT to get it working properly.

“reliable web calling for business”

Pros

This has been a really solid web based calling system for handling business customer communications. It does a good job of supporting companies that need a dependable setup for customer calls.

Cons

There are a few glitches now and then especially when several calls are coming in at the same time.

“helpful receptionist”

Pros

The auto receptionist works well and the live chat support has been helpful whenever needed.

Cons

Using it hasn't felt very user friendly and can be frustrating quite often. On top of that the pricing feels expensive.

“super user friendly from day one”

Pros

Getting started was incredibly simple and learning how to use it was just as easy.

Cons

Only thing I liked least was having to update my contact list although that was really more on me than the software.

“feature rich tool”

Pros

A solid product with plenty of features and the team has really enjoyed using it.

Cons

The design of some parts could be better and a few features feel more complex than they should. There are also some weak integrations with third party apps.
