Pros

Moving abroad made keeping my U.S. number really important especially for getting login verification texts and this handled that transition without any hassle. My text messages always come through right away by email which has been incredibly reliable. I've even recommended it to a lot of classmates who were also preparing to move overseas.

Cons

Something I'd really like to see is voicemail transcription for the mp3 files sent to email. That would make it much easier to tell which messages are just spam or blank voicemails without having to listen to each one.

Pros

Getting started was easy, the website is clear and simple to manage and the customer service has been very good.

Cons

The billing setup is confusing. I still can't really tell what the monthly cost is because charges are cumulative instead of billed monthly. The billing periods also don't follow normal 30 day months and use unusual start and end dates. It's not user friendly at all and that alone could make me consider other options.

Pros

Living abroad long term makes receiving short code SMS from banks and investment companies a real headache and this service solved that problem for me. Most phone carriers charge a lot more and lock you into a contract so I was really happy to come across this platform. It takes care of those annoying verification texts and also makes calling while traveling internationally much more convenient. It actually took me quite a while to discover the company through a Facebook group and now I end up recommending it in other expat communities too.

Cons

Only issue I've run into is that notifications don't seem to appear on my iPhone. I have to open the app myself to check for anything new.

Pros

Parking a phone number and still being able to use all its features at such a reasonable price has honestly been a really pleasant surprise. The service delivers exactly what it promises and it does it reliably. I've been very happy with the product overall. On the occasions when I needed help, the support team was quick to respond and took care of my concerns right away.

SMS responsiveness in the app could use a bit of improvement when replying to messages. Aside from that, there are a few other small usability issues that could probably be refined with some additional user testing.

Using Tossable Digits has been going really well as this is a practical and efficient solution. On top of that the customer service has been excellent. I'm very happy with the service overall.

After I moved out of the country , being able to port my phone number has been incredibly helpful. I can still make and receive calls and texts on my original number and when I return, I'll still have the same number everyone knows. It's been a very efficient solution for expats staying overseas.

Group texts with multiple people and sending photos through text aren't supported which is a downside.

Being able to stay incognito and call people from a number that isn't my personal one is a huge plus. It's especially useful when I'm tracking people down during investigations and don't want to reveal my identity.

During my extended trip of more than six months, being able to park my number while still keeping most of the functionality I needed was really useful.

This would be even better with VoIP support. SMS also needs work since some messages never get delivered and replying to texts can sometimes cause duplicate messages.

It honestly feels like I never lost my US number or carrier at all. Getting my texts, verification codes, emails and everything else has been really simple and reliable.

One thing I'd like to see is a little more transparency around the "not included texts" and how to tell which ones fall into that category. That part caught me off guard and I still don't really know how to identify which texts I'm supposed to avoid.

Being able to use my phone while overseas has been incredibly helpful. It lets me keep and use my US number even while living abroad which matters a lot now that so many services require 2 step verification tied to a US phone number. Honestly, I'm not sure how I would have managed without this.

The only major downside is that I'm unable to send or receive MMS messages.

Studying abroad is a lot less stressful with this app because I don't have to worry about losing my phone number. I'm still able to access all the apps that need SMS verification codes which has been really helpful.

It's simple to use and comes with solid features. I just don't really end up using the phone call option.
