“local number didn't work”
Pros
Signing up was fairly quick and the registration process didn't take much effort. Beyond that, there really isn't anything else I can add on the positive side.
Cons
The local number they gave my business didn't work with most text messaging services which was a major problem. On top of that the customer support was a huge letdown, they promised quick follow up and a fix but neither ever happened which was extremely disappointing.

“packed with useful features”
Pros
Compared with other virtual phone systems, it is fairly affordable and still includes a really strong set of features. It comes with auto attendant, call forwarding, a mobile app, call recording, voicemail and several other useful tools. The 30 day free trial is another big plus especially since a lot of competitors do not give you that much time to test the service. Customer support has also been solid and I usually get a fast reply when I reach out through the desktop chat. Another feature I appreciate is being able to choose the caller ID, either showing my business number or the original caller's number when calls come through this platform. There are probably a few other positives I am leaving out but overall it is a good product. In the end, how effective it is really depends on what you need a virtual phone system to handle.
Cons
Whether something feels like a downside really depends on the type of business using it. In our case, we eventually outgrew what this could offer although that does not mean it will fall short for everyone else. The one issue that stands out no matter the business need is call notifications. You are not alerted for every incoming call. You only get notified about calls that actually make it through your greeting or auto attendant and begin ringing. If someone calls and hangs up after a few seconds before the call ever rings, there is no notification at all. The only way to catch those missed attempts is by logging into the desktop app and checking there. I hope the Tresta team improves this and starts notifying users about all calls.

“hold time is avoided”
Pros
Being able to forward business calls to my personal phone is the biggest reason we chose this. Since we're a remote company, not having to keep a separate phone just for work makes a huge difference. Another thing I appreciate is that callers no longer have to sit through that awkward hold time we used to deal with when we were using Google Voice.
Cons
At times, the app has been buggy and when a call comes in, it's not always clear whether it's coming through this software or not. I'd really like the caller ID to show me if the call is business related or just a personal call.
