COGZ is highly recommended

Pros

COGZ is incredibly easy to use. The ability to track past purchases and monitor spending per machine are two of the biggest reasons I prefer it. I also love that I can email purchase orders directly to vendors through the system.

Cons

It would be really helpful to have a way to attach a quote to the purchase order. We had this feature in SAP and it made it easy to reference quotes when invoices came in with different costs, instead of digging through old emails.

It meets our needs perfectly

Pros

Inventory control and preventive maintenance are key to running a maintenance department efficiently and COGZ simplifies both while saving time.

Cons

The software has a lot of great features but to really get the most out of it, you need to invest time in learning how everything works.

Two decades of using Cogz and it still performs flawlessly

Pros

It's very easy to use for mechanics and has powerful tools to manage both maintenance tasks and parts purchasing.

Cons

It originally started as a computer based system but now that it's internet based, it's much better.

So simple to use and reliable

Pros

I really like how simple it is to use. Our system was set up quickly, though the equipment list wasn't structured the way I would have done it, its not COGZ's fault, just a reminder that good planning makes a difference. If you fully use all the tabs and provide detailed, well-organized descriptions, this system works excellently.

Cons

I don't like how the system automatically regenerates incomplete work orders. It can be confusing because if you say "yes," it creates a new work order with a different number instead of treating it as a revision under the same number. Just a small frustration.

Simple design with powerful features

Pros

COGZ is very easy to handle. It keeps me on track with preventive maintenance, ensuring I never miss a task. I also use it to manage parts and their customer support is fantastic and they always respond quickly to any questions.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have anything negative to say about COGZ.
