Not quite as advertised

Pros

If it actually did what it was supposed to, it would be awesome. However I totally get why tracking warranty info and keeping up with maintenance is a great idea.

Cons

The biggest issue with Ecotrak is that the warranty tracking is way too limited to be useful. Each vendor can only enter one warranty term, but most vendors have different terms for different products. So, we are adding warranty info because our customer asked us to, but it is basically pointless. If we could enter the correct warranty for each item that had sold would be great but we cannot. Another problem that the promised labor savings are not real. Instead of making things easier, a lot of the work has just been left for vendors and operations teams. Now, instead of running the business, people are stuck at their desks entering data into Ecotrak. Vendors have to put in even more work just to keep it running. We have to train our teams on it and every Ecotrak invoice needs special handling. Thankfully, most of our customers do not use this software, but for the ones that do, it is a hassle. It even slows down our own efforts to automate our processes. And now, on top of all this, they wants to charge us $1 per invoice for the privilege of using it? Like seriously?

Helps me keep a record of everything

Pros

Love that it keeps a record of everything related to an asset. As I can always go back and check what services have been done.

Cons

I wish it connected with our accounting system so tracking invoice payments was easier.

Not easy to use at all

Pros

Not a fan of this software as it feels like they overcomplicated things. As a vendor, I don't have time to mess around with extra steps and questions. Plus submitting proposals and invoices should be simple, but it is not. They should simplify it for people like me.

Cons

There are way too many steps just to create a simple proposal or email. Also the app is glitchy, uploading pictures takes forever and they ask too many questions. Why cannot they just let me upload photos without all the extra steps?

Some hits, some miss

Pros

Being able to track items and calls the way I do is great. And once you get the hang of the software, you will get an idea that the options it has are really amazing. Also, it allows you to let multiple windows open at the same time.

Cons

It is not easy to learn or navigate. Also I feel like the purchase order module would be helpful. And even some team members have not helped address our concerns. There are too many windows and steps just to get things done.

With proper setup, it reduces workload

Pros

Once everything is set up, it becomes easy for us to maintain it.

Cons

The setup is confusing as we had to spend time to figure out how it works. Overall it is not as simple as we expected it to be.

Easy to customize

Pros

Ecotrak lets us customize the platform to fit our needs instead of the other way around. Also it is flexible, helps improve our processes and allows us to make changes easily whenever needed.

Cons

Like any software, there have been glitches that created extra work for our team. But at least it has not stopped us from getting our job done.

Glad we chose Ecotrak

Pros

Ecotrak is hands down the best asset management tool for tracking where our repair and maintenance money goes. We can even check past repairs on any equipment across locations. Plus, it's fast and very easy to use.

Cons

No complaints from me or my team so far.
