MAPCON REVIEW

Pros

I like how easy it is to schedule preventive maintenance and the automated scheduling feature. Even when I'm away, PMs are generated seamlessly, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. The handheld devices are excellent for technicians to manage and complete their work orders directly on site.

Cons

Although the PM scheduling is useful, it doesn't support a rotating resource schedule. Scheduling PMs for seasonal tasks is also challenging. If tradesmen close their own work orders, you can't assign multiple people to one work order, because once one person closes it, it closes for everyone, causing tasks to be forgotten. Multiple work orders have to be opened for the same job and assigned individually. Additionally, the program feels compartmentalized. I should be able to open, edit, and close a work order from the same screen. It's not very intuitive in many areas.

Pros

I find it easy to navigate, filled with functionalities, and equipped with numerous modules. It operates swiftly without demanding substantial processing power. It's advantageous in many aspects, offering limitless requests, seamless email-to-work request transfers, and an efficient scheduler.

Cons

Best system I have ever used.

Pros

I find this software exceptionally intuitive. Participating in the annual conference provides an opportunity to engage with actual users and gather insightful suggestions and strategies to integrate into your setup.

Cons

I'm using the lite version, and upgrading seems like it will require some adjustment.

Implementing it from the start in your company is ideal because it has a robust capacity to handle all management aspects, including maintenance, human resources, supply chain, and asset management.

Cons

Easy to deal with but hard to navigate

Pros

It's affordable, and the company was easy to work with. The demo was an excellent way to evaluate the software before purchasing.

Cons

Positive experience

Pros

As an admin, I've always had excellent support from the vendor, who is very responsive and helpful. Our end users loved MapCon because it was intuitive and simple to use.

Cons

The software had many elements that used outdated technology and an old-fashioned look. However, it seems they are transitioning to a more modern application model.

Slightly complex, but overall excellent peice of software.

Pros

I like that you have to identify who is making a request in the system, which is very helpful in a large company for knowing who to contact if there are any issues or questions. The management of work and task allocation is a standout feature, and I highly recommend it for this reason alone.

Cons

I personally find this software rather complicated. It took me a while to understand all its features. I didn't realize there was a proper training course available, which might have helped me avoid struggling.

Pros

Great for ISO/TS compliance

Pros

I value the simplicity of the reporting tools, the ability to schedule preventive maintenance tasks, and how they're automatically sent to my email once they're scheduled by the system.

Cons

The software is somewhat hard to navigate for newcomers. I strongly recommend purchasing the additional training from MAPCON for the system administrator.
