Perfect PM tracking tools

Pros

Setting up PMs and recurring work orders works really well in my experience and I find being able to track history and usage very useful.

Cons

One thing that's missing is the ability to search data by time of day or individual shifts. Techs also constantly complain about the keystroke timer that auto-loads and refreshes and AX inputting is frustrating too.

top-notch support and setup

Pros

From the beginning, getting started felt easy for me and the staff have been excellent when it comes to service and troubleshooting. I've been using its different platforms since June 2000.

Cons

Because we handled the asset loading internally and built out the preventive maintenance procedures ourselves, it would have helped to have some preloaded PM templates for common equipment most companies use. The inventory workflow for parts and materials also felt a little tough, along with the key management tab.

confusing admin side and weak support

Pros

It works really well for my maintenance technicians and I find it simple to identify which piece of equipment needs service whenever a machine goes down.

Cons

From an administrator's perspective though the system is very hard to use. I regularly struggle to navigate the back-end because the software is so confusing. With everything involved in managing a maintenance department, not having reliable support readily available really creates extra problems.

slow support on workorders

Pros

Having a work order system in place has been useful for me when it comes to keeping track of repairs and related costs.

Cons

Downside is that issue resolution takes too long and callbacks about problems are not coming in on time.

Powerful reporting for manufacturers

Pros

Being a manufacturer myself I find this CMMS software fits very well with the way we work. It's especially useful for manufacturing businesses and I've found the reporting and material measurement features very valuable for managing operations.

Cons

This software has been excellent for business management and the reporting capabilities are a big reason why I enjoy using it. At this point, I haven't run into any problems with it.

feature-rich but buggy

Pros

It covers a lot of ground in my experience and feels very complete. I find it includes almost every option we might need. There are plenty of tools for personnel, assets, preventive maintenance and more, plus convenient ways to export data for deeper analysis in programs like Excel.

Cons

The interface has a few workflows that are not very simple so you have to learn how they work. For example, you might assume that double-clicking a link would open the selected item but instead you need to click once and then use an arrow near the top of the screen to slide the list and reveal the details. It can also be slow at times. A ticket that should take 5 minutes to fix can easily need 3 extra minutes just to enter the information because moving through the screens is sluggish. On top of that, it has bugs. Some issues seem fixed for a while, then show up again in a later update. For example, you may be entering details into a ticket and suddenly the browser refreshes on its own, leaving you in a completely different ticket. Other times, it throws you onto another screen and the ticket you were working on simply vanishes with no way to recover it.

changed our workflow for the better

Pros

This software completely changed how our company handles inventory, work orders, asset management and preventive maintenance in a very positive way. I find it much simpler now to keep everything organized and stay on top of maintenance tasks. One of the biggest advantages for us is that it is available as a one-time purchase that we actually own instead of another subscription-based product so financially it has been a much better fit over time.

Cons

Setting everything up in the system was definitely a bit tedious but it's one of those tools where the more effort you put in at the beginning, the more value you get from it in the long run.

powerful ticketing and tracking

Pros

This program has been a really strong fit for us. We use many of its features regularly and I find it has become our company's main ticket management system. It also handles all of our inventory control and maintenance tracking so it plays a major role in our day-to-day operations.

Cons

The only issue we ran into was a very unusual billing situation that was specific to our company. Even so, their tech support team was extremely helpful and worked with us to come up with a creative solution.

Handy maintenance tracking

Pros

Keeping up with scheduled maintenance is very efficient for me with this software. It provides a simple way to stay on top of everything that's due and I also find the work order reports very useful.

Cons

With version 8, you have to subscribe to the digital cloud service to review your media. On top of that, getting access to the media can be difficult at times.

fleet-focused and highly customizable

Pros

One thing that really works well for me is how customizable it is, even visually so the interface can match our company's look and feel. More importantly, I appreciate that it's built specifically for fleet management which makes it especially useful for distribution centers like the one I work in.

Cons

Like other more technical CMMS platforms, this one comes with a steeper learning curve. It can be configured around your specific needs but that setup has to be handled by someone from their IT team instead of by your own staff.

User-friendly scheduling and tracking

Pros

Using this software has made it simple for our organization to schedule, track and report everything in one place. I find the training very user-friendly and adding information into the system is easy as well.

Cons

A few of the reporting features could be improved especially when it comes to exporting information but aside from that we really love using this software for our organization.

helpful schedule tracking

Pros

Keeping up with every schedule feels very convenient to me and I like that each employee can see their shift a day ahead so they know what to expect in advance.

Convenient setup and customization

Pros

From the start, I found this software very easy to use. Setting it up, tailoring it to our needs and moving between the different functions all felt very user friendly to me. Uploading employee information was also quick and simple which made the whole process even better.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the initial training. It didn't really focus on the information that was most relevant to our business so I'd recommend making the training more customized to each user's specific needs.

Pros

maintenance tracking that delivers

Pros

Managing maintenance schedules and keeping track of work orders has been very easy for me. We use it to review all building maintenance activities and stay on top of scheduled contractors and vendors.

Cons

Pros

Versatile training and support

Pros

The instructional videos and customer support really add value for me and I've found the product's functionality very great.

too complex for small teams

Pros

I'm not a fan of this system overall but I will say that I've found the vendor very supportive.

Cons

Running it is too difficult and it takes far too much time. It almost feels like you need a secretary just to keep up with it. My team is only me and two maintenance guys so this setup seems built for much larger companies. It feels like smaller businesses that still need software like this were overlooked. We used Vision 3.5 before and really liked it but once it was no longer supported, we had to move to 7.0 and we absolutely hate it.
