tailored fit for our team

Pros

It has been customized around my company's specific needs which makes it feel like a much better fit for the way we work.

user-friendly and simple to use

Pros

Navigating through the program feels very simple for me and it does not take much time to understand how everything works.

Cons

Category structure for organization could be improved, because without stronger grouping it can start to feel overwhelming and hard to sort through.

better workflow and quick fixes

Pros

Switching to this product was very easy for us compared to what we were using before so the transition went really well. Up to this point, we have not run into any problems at all.

Cons

There really haven't been any issues with the software that would make me dislike it. It's a big improvement over our previous system and it's simple to upload issues and have them resolved quickly.

affordable CMMS that grows with us

Pros

Right from the start, I found the pricing to be a major selling point for me. Compared with most other CMMS platforms I have used over the past 20 years and evaluated during this process, this one was far more affordable. It felt a lot like the cannabis industry itself, still a growing business finding its footing. In a way, I feel we matured alongside each other and that collaboration helped shape a really special CMMS that can work for organizations of any size, from very small teams to large operations.

Cons

At the beginning, there were a few things that didn't quite work the way we wanted. That said, their support team surprised me in a good way by helping customize the system around what we actually needed instead of pushing the standard setup that so many other companies try to force on you. Reporting was one example, since I originally couldn't pull reports the way I needed to. They ended up building a feature into the system that lets me generate reports whenever I want and that has been extremely helpful.

outstanding support for remote maintenance

Pros

Handling communication with our stores and contractors has been much better for me with this tool. I find it an excellent way to organize repairs and maintenance especially when managing locations from a distance. The platform is very simple to use in my experience and there are plenty of options to customize it around what different users need. The Open Wrench team has been fantastic to work with as well, they are always available when questions come up or when we share feedback and they consistently help us find the best solution. One feature I really appreciate is that once a job is finished, contractors can upload invoices directly which lets us keep track of financials all in one place. These first few months have been very positive for me and I am excited to keep building our R&M program with Open Wrench.

Cons

The only minor issue has been the drop-down boxes but that's already being improved with the new workflow update.

custom fit with responsive support

Pros

One thing that really stands out to me is how well the system can be tailored to match our business and the way we operate. Since day one, I have received outstanding support from the team, helping set it up in a way that works best for us. Their response time is incredibly fast and I find the weekly report they send very useful because it gives a clear view of things and helps us prioritize our work for the week.

Cons

One limitation is that technicians can't see tasks unless they've already been assigned to them. It would be much better if any technician could open the task list and assign a task to themselves when needed.

fantastic setup and support

Pros

Right from the start, I found the interface simple and the customer service was responsive throughout a true white-glove implementation. Compared with other platforms we evaluated, this one required far less work from our team. The others expected us to handle loading locations, configuring the system and curating the vendor list ourselves and some even said it could take more than a week just to get the environment ready. Here, most of that heavy lifting was handled for us. We only needed to send over the basic details in a spreadsheet.

Cons

One thing still missing is a self-service option for out-of-the-box integrations with financial systems. Those integrations do exist but they require coordination with our IT team and extra effort on both sides so we decided to hold off for now. To be fair, the competing products we reviewed did not offer self-service integrations either but having that option would still be a nice improvement.
