Great for making marketing changes

Pros

It is great that we can make changes to our marketing items like flyers, business cards and brochures with this.

Cons

You really need some lessons to figure out how to use it. Without guidance you will feel completely lost. As it took me some time to learn but now I am a big fan!

Favorite built-in AI and font tools

Pros

A favorite feature is having AI tools built directly into Adobe Illustrator. It is also really handy to grab fonts straight from pictures. Another plus is how simple it is to make 3D vector objects now.

Cons

For me the one feature it is missing is a multi-page editor where I could edit text on one artboard and have it automatically update across other pages in the same document.

Incredibly powerful for scalable logos

Pros

For making scalable vector graphics such as logos that never get blurry, Adobe Illustrator is incredibly powerful. Also its toolset is amazing particularly for someone who designs graphics professionally.

Cons

For people who are not graphic designers learning it is a major challenge. Beginners in design can get frustrated very quickly when they start. You also need a strong creative sense to use the tools well and make great graphics and not everyone has that high level of creativity.

huge range of refined features

Pros

The range of features is huge such as providing exact control over vectors, offering professional color tools, layer management and many ways to export and import. Plus handling multiple pages which lets you make visual-heavy short documents faster than InDesign and solid text handling are some other solid features of it.

Cons

Keep in mind that the layout is not the easiest to understand so it takes time to learn. It is also not simple to discover all the things you can do because there are so many options and some are hard to find in the menus.

Great tool with a clean layout

Pros

What I liked most about Adobe Illustrator is the clean, uncluttered layout that makes the workflow dynamic. Overall I would say it is a great tool.

Cons

What I liked least about it was the difficulty in applying some of the softwares more advanced effects.

powerful tools and regular updates

Pros

It has thorough and powerful tools for vector design. The connection with other Adobe apps is smooth too. Plus they release regular updates with new features. There is also a huge amount of tutorial help and community support available.

Cons

Let me tell you it is very difficult for beginners to learn. And sometimes it runs slowly with complicated designs. The monthly or yearly fee is also quite high.

More advanced tools for higher quality

Pros

The most noticeable thing is being able to work on a bigger canvas and use complicated custom brushes without any slowdown or problems while painting. The experience is always very smooth. Adobe illustrator simply has more tools overall and more advanced ones for tasks like making selections, adjusting colors and transforming objects. Plus the options for layers and their properties were also a highlight. I designed a product for my company and the artwork and logo for it came out perfectly using it. In short it makes the overall quality of everything just higher.

Cons

It costs a lot more than other digital art programs. And if you are switching from a different product, the whole workspace and feel of the software will be very unfamiliar. That might be good or bad but either way, having to learn a new system is a slight downside.

Builds ideas exactly as needed

Pros

It feels great when the ideas in my head can be built out for me, exactly when I need them.

Cons

My main suggestion would be a cleaner more user friendly layout that users can understand at a glance.

Pros

The program works well. It is proven very useful for my work and available videos related to it make it easier to figure out how things work.

Cons

There are too many things in it which overwhelm new users a lot.

packed with huge variety of tools

Pros

Adobe illustrator comes packed with a huge variety of tools for sketching, adding color and refining your artwork. Features like the Pen tool, Shape Builder and gradients cover all sorts of design tasks. Plus anything we make inside it can be made bigger or smaller and still look perfect which is why it works for tiny icons and huge banners alike.

Cons

The price is a major downside of this application. It is too costly for beginners to manage. They originally offered a one-time purchase option but switching to a subscription model has made many individual users like me search for a different program.

Wonderful for adding design detail

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is wonderful. Our design studio uses it all the time to add detail and color to our landscape drawings. It lets us present our design sketches and plans just the way we pictured them. Getting the exact style we want is far simpler and much faster in it compared to CAD software. We have better command over patterns and colors which helps us nail the design on the very first try.

Cons

Only issue I can note is that as a CAD design studio it works in a totally different manner from our usual CAD software. This means there is a significant learning period if you are not already familiar with it. That said you can get past this hurdle pretty fast and then produce excellent work.

the simplest software to learn

Pros

Getting up to speed with this software was the simplest and quickest I have ever experienced. After just one hour of using it, I felt completely comfortable as if I'd been working with it for a long time.

Cons

I'd prefer it if the main workspace had a more visually engaging and enjoyable design.

Outstanding with precise design tools

Pros

Adobe Illustrator is an outstanding application for creating vector graphics. One of its biggest advantages is the precision and quality of its design tools which let you make detailed, scalable illustrations without losing sharpness. Plus the wide range of instruments and functions like gradient options, custom brushes and geometric shapes, makes tackling creative and complex projects much easier.

Cons

One disadvantage worth mentioning about it is its fairly steep initial learning curve. Because of its huge range of tools and advanced functions, it can feel overwhelming for new users or those without prior experience in graphic design software.

the whole suite works perfectly

Pros

The whole thing worked perfectly. The entire Adobe suite is excellent and gets regular updates with new improvements.

Cons

There is just no reasonably priced way to use this program. Other options like Affinity Designer have a much lower cost but it keeps their prices so high it's hard to afford. Their monthly payment plan does not make it much better either.
