“Saves me tons of time

Pros

I'm a big fan of this tool because it saves me a ton of time and energy. Whenever I need some info, I don't have to dig around and I can just pull it up easily. And copying from the clipboard is simple too.

Cons

It's honestly hard to find something I don't like about aText but if I had to say one thing, it's that it shows a lot of ads. Also I find it kind of annoying that it needs admin permission just to auto-start when I sign in to Windows.

“Budget-friendly tool that gets the job done

Pros

What I love most about this tool is that it's totally a "set it and forget it" kind of thing. I set up a bunch of shortcuts years ago and haven't had to think about them since they just keep working like magic.

Cons

There are a couple of things that have bugged me over the years. First, It doesn't expand text in secure fields like password fields which includes all the fields in my password manager not just the actual password. And second, it can be slow when switching from secure to non-secure fields. It catches me off guard sometimes when text expansion just stops working. That second issue might be fixed now but it definitely interrupted the smooth flow of things for a while.

“setup's easy & using it is even easier

Pros

It is very easy to get started with. I had it up and running in no time. It saves me loads of time and makes sure my replies always sound the same and professional.

Cons

Sometimes special characters don't come through right especially when using Rich Text Format. It doesn't happen all the time but it's frustrating when it does.

“Daily time-saver that never fails

Pros

aText is crazy easy to use. I used to be on TextExpander but it was way pricier and honestly I haven't missed it one bit. It is solid and really simple to manage.

Cons

The interface is kind of basic not a bad thing, really but I do wish there was a way to link it seamlessly to iOS. I know that's a separate product but still, it'd be nice to have.

“Clean and easy tool to use

Pros

It felt very flexible the second I opened it. I didn't need a guide or anything and I just knew what to click and where to type. No unnecessary setup stuff either which I really appreciated.

Cons

I use It mainly for basic text replacement, and honestly, I haven't found anything I dislike. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the whole thing could use a bit more color. It's mostly gray and a splash of color might help make certain buttons or fields easier to spot.

“Helps me type less and work more

Pros

It's really easy to set up and it works exactly like it should. I especially like that I can add stuff like today's date, the current time or whatever's on my clipboard right into my shortcuts.

Cons

Every now and then, It just forgets all my saved snippets. Restarting the app fixes it quickly but it's still kind of annoying when it happens.

“Disappointment for me

Pros

I'm always surprised at how it kind of predicts what I'm about to type. It feels like it reads my mind sometimes.

Cons

I don't love how it sometimes auto-changes what I'm typing without me meaning to. It catches me off guard and I have to go back and fix it.

“Fast tool that takes the typing load off

Pros

I have tons of phrases I use all the time that are annoying to type over and over, so It is a lifesaver. I just set up abbreviations and it types them out for me. Plus it's free for Mac nd I love that!

Cons

Honestly I've got nothing bad to say about a tool that makes repetitive typing way less frustrating. This thing has saved me from so many headaches!

“Life's easier with atext!

Pros

It makes my work so much easier. I've set up quick shortcuts for stuff I say all the time especially answers to questions I get constantly. Now I don't have to type the same thing a million times. It's easy to use and totally worth it.

Cons

One thing I really wish It would add is the ability to include links in shortcuts. That would make it way more powerful for my workflow.
