“fantastic sharing”

Pros

Among free conferencing tools, this has been one of the best I've used. The screen-sharing feature is really helpful and simple to set up and I appreciate being able to decide exactly what I want to share. It also includes a whiteboard for writing down ideas or concepts which has been especially useful during collaborative meetings. It works through a web login and also has a downloadable app for Windows, Mac android and iPhone. I can access it pretty much everywhere and that has been a huge plus.

Cons

At this point, I really don't have anything to complain about. It has been working exactly the way I expected it to.

“feature-packed”

Pros

Free Conference Call, on both web and phone, has been the most capable virtual conferencing platform I've used especially considering how many features are available at no charge. I've relied on it several times to run long meetings with nearly 1,000 participants and it has handled that scale really well. Another thing I genuinely appreciate is the option to make donations as a way of giving back for all the functionality, with the proceeds going to charities. That feels like a very admirable touch.

Cons

There's honestly not much to criticize. If I had to point out one thing, it would be the repeated jazzy music that plays before other participants join the meeting which can get a bit annoying. My workaround is to play audio back through the broadcaster so I don't have to listen to it.

“Smooth video meetings for teams”

Pros

The video conferencing quality is excellent and works especially well for organizations that really depend on it.

Cons

Since most people are already used to Zoom some of them need a little time to get comfortable with the small differences in this tool..

One thing I really appreciate is that the free plan lets me host as many people as I need which is a huge plus for me.

Cons

Host controls still don't quite feel right to me and could be better.

“low-cost and amazing”

Pros

Getting started with it was quick and simple. I've used it for both video meetings and teaching online classes and it's handled both really well. The usage limits are very generous and the free-to-low-cost pricing model is a big plus. If you need extra features, you can add them for a small fee which makes it a strong alternative to other platforms.

Cons

Something I'd still like to see is built-in registration forms. I've also run into some confusion around which links I should share with attendees versus which ones are meant for signing in and running my classes.

“Clear calls every time”

Pros

From the start, this product was simple to use and consistently delivered crisp, clear audio. When our non-profit couldn't afford a more advanced conference line, it gave us a free way to stay connected with donors, board members and other organizations. I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

We never really needed any extra features beyond what this conference line already offered. Even after using it for years, we didn't receive any complaints from users or participants.

It was completely free and took almost no time to set up. The platform itself is very simple and having access to multiple conference call numbers is a really useful bonus.

“works great”

Pros

Back when I worked with this organization, we used it constantly and honestly I loved it. It's a really solid service and the fact that it's free makes it even better. It was perfect for setting up meetings and keeping business organized which is exactly what I appreciated most about it.

Cons

Didn't run into any issues with it. The call quality was very clear so it was easy to hear the other person and they could hear me just as clearly.

“I liked it”

Pros

This tool is more than just a conference call service since you can also use it for videoconferencing and the fact that it's free makes it even better.

Cons

Every now and then, the video has some intermittent issues although that could just be related to my internet connection.

“quite pocket friendly!”

Pros

Running a small business often means watching costs and it has been a really solid web-based conferencing option that doesn't break the budget. The Outlook add-in makes setting up conference calls fast and convenient and the mobile app is a nice bonus for scheduling or joining meetings while away from the office.

Cons

An issue that can come up is that some larger companies' firewalls sometimes prevent the freeconferencecall.com plug-in from working the way it should. Aside from that occasional hiccup, I haven't run into any other problems with the conference call software.

“excellent calling options for meetings”

Pros

It is one of the best tools I've used for online meetings and webinars. A big advantage is that people with poor internet access can still join meetings by dialing in with a phone call. Another thing that makes it really useful is that there's no limit on the number of participants who can join a meeting. The availability of local dial-in numbers is also a strong benefit.

Cons

Haven't come across any major downsides with this solution but the web interface could definitely use some improvement. It would also be much more helpful if it offered some kind of meeting report or summary after each call.

Pros

Being free is a huge plus. This is hands down my favorite tool for conference calls and screen sharing and it consistently works exactly the way I need it to.

“fantastic for remote teams”

Pros

Running meetings across remote teams on different continents has been effortless with this. The platform is extremely simple to use and we've been able to rely on it without dealing with connection issues. Having a custom phone number for incoming calls adds a lot of convenience as well. The desktop and iPhone apps fit neatly into my workflow, feel organized and never get in the way. Also, their team is personable and genuinely seems to care about you.

Cons

I really haven't compared it with other tools since I began using it a few years ago so I can't speak to how it stacks up elsewhere. That said, I don't have any negative feedback. Their team has also been amazing and consistently open to suggestions.

“perfect for board meetings”

Pros

When the pandemic pushed all of our in-person meetings into virtual and phone conference calls, I needed something that would work across the 20 communities I manage. I deal with a mix of Board members, some are very comfortable with technology, while others struggle with even basic meeting tools. The more tech-savvy members had already moved to paid options like Zoom and GoToMeeting but several others couldn't handle scheduling meetings through those more complicated platforms. After coming across freeconferencecall, I tested it myself before recommending it to my clients and honestly it turned out to be the most convenient and user-friendly conference calling option for Board meetings or any other meetings involving people with little to no technical experience.

Cons

Other than not having live technical support, I really don't see any downside.

“Easy recordings”

Pros

Having one phone number and the same access code for every call keeps everything consistent for clients and makes it much simpler to remember on my end. The recording feature is also really useful since we regularly share call recordings with the rest of the team.

Cons

Rarely, a call won't connect on the first attempt, usually because of call volume or the client's phone carrier. It doesn't happen often but when it does, it can definitely create some problems.

Pros

Getting this for free makes the value incredibly hard to beat since there is absolutely no cost involved. Also, the quality is excellent so using a free service does not mean giving up anything in terms of performance or results.

“Amazing”

Pros

One of the best parts is not having to pay for long-distance calls. It lets me chat with one person or with an entire group at the same time which is really useful. It works very well for business conferences and also for teaching students. Being able to record calls is another feature I really appreciate.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of anything about it that I dislike.

“Free and easy”

Pros

Whenever I need to arrange a meeting with someone who isn't on the same conference call platform as our organization, this has been an excellent option. Anyone can join and the fact that it's free makes it even better. Setting up an account is simple, creating conference calls is quick and sharing the dial-in details with others is simple.

Cons

Haven't run into any problems with this software and for a free product, I'm genuinely impressed by how much it offers.

“conference calling made easy”

Pros

Setting up conference calls and screen sharing for training and team collaboration has been very simple. Even employees who aren't very comfortable with computers have been able to use it without much trouble. It has also been really useful when making a strong impression on potential customers during phone-based sales pitches. Since our sales team works remotely, having conference calling and screen sharing available has made our training much more effective.

Cons

Up to this point, I really haven't run into anything I dislike about this product. It has lived up to everything we expected and has helped us improve our business in a number of ways.

“Low cost and dependable”

Pros

If I just need a conference line without paying much, this tool does exactly that for me everytime. It offers free or very low-cost conference calls and keeps things simple instead of piling on extra features. If all you want is a simple conference calling solution, this is a really solid option.

Cons

Because it stays so basic, you do miss out on a wider range of optional services. I personally prefer that simplicity but people looking for an all-in-one, Swiss Army Knife kind of platform may feel it is too limited.
