Right from the start, Govenda has felt user friendly and simple to work with which makes managing board activities much simpler and more productive. It helps users organize and run meetings without any hassle. Another big plus is how well it connects with other tools, supporting workflow automation and helping keep productivity at a high level.

Cons

Govenda has been an excellent board management tool for us and has contributed positively to our overall profitability. At this point, I don't have any complaints.

Pros

One thing that really works well with this software is its strong integration capability. Connecting it with tools like Microsoft 365 helps create a more organized workflow and makes board management much more organized and effective. Another big plus is the customer support which has been very helpful and simple to deal with. Having access to 24/7 support is also a huge benefit.

Honestly, it has been smooth to use. I have no complaints at all!

Biggest advantage has been how user-friendly it is. Some of our board members were completely committed to printed hard copies only but once we rolled out Govenda and they saw the convenient 24/7 access and how simple it is to use, the need to send out hard copies dropped significantly. It's easy to imagine how much administrative time that has saved us.

Cons

The only thing I'd change comes down to personal preference. I'd like to have an option to set margins in block style.

Getting documents into the hands of the whole board is simple and the platform is simple to use for everyone involved.

It was so simple to get started with this tool and using it day to day has been just as simple. I really appreciate that it's affordable for our small nonprofit without giving up the quality we need.

Since every added cost is a challenge for our organization, I was especially grateful that it was offered to us at no charge in the beginning. At this point though, we've had to build it into our budget so we can keep access to it going forward.

Being able to capture votes, keep them on record and pull them back up later for audits is a big deal for our business. The platform is simple to use and the setup feels user friendly without taking much effort to figure out. Overall, it works well for what we need and the pricing is reasonable compared with some of the other products we considered.

A challenge is the limited support for multiple file formats. We often record video and audio presentations so board members and other leaders can review meeting content ahead of time with added explanation. Since there's no real option to upload and replay videos, that stands out as a weakness and definitely restricts how much we can use Govenda across our organization. If that capability were added, we would likely expand our use of the software quite a bit.

The level of integration with the product is really impressive and it lets you connect everything in a very complete way.

There are still some accessibility problems and documents can't be downloaded in an editable format when that's needed.

Almost immediately, everyone learnt how to use it. Even with very little training, I was able to use it confidently and felt proficient right away. Putting together agendas is simple and I appreciate the different ways you can add documents, whether by uploading them yourself or sending an email link. It's also really helpful that agenda items can be updated just minutes before a meeting or even while the meeting is happening if something needs to change.

Not much I dislike about it and I've already raised the few concerns I had. None of them were serious enough to be deal breakers. One small example is that after replacing an uploaded document, you have to click "cancel" to exit which makes it seem like the change you just made might have been undone.

Keeping Board meetings organized is simple with it and the customer support team has been outstanding.

Having to upload separate PDFs can be a hassle at times especially when dealing with large documents.

It helps the board operate in a much more professional way while keeping records neat and accurate. The platform guides members through the agenda, makes it simple to post minutes and helps meetings stay organized and on track.

Switching to this one for our board and committee management turned out to be a vital move for our organization. Replacing bulky hard-copy packets with a digital system has cut costs and helped us use our time much more efficiently. The platform is secure which makes it simple for our directors to share confidential meeting documents in one central place. Another big advantage is how user-friendly it is. Our board members can pull up materials virtually from anywhere on their devices and even those who are not very comfortable with technology have been able to use it without trouble.

Right from the start, the platform has been user-friendly and effective. Adding and deleting documents is simple and it's especially helpful that users other than the administrator aren't constantly notified every time a change is made.

One area that still causes trouble is when Board members need to suggest amendments or add notes to documents. It would be much better to have a comment box option for minutes and other files, along with sharing features so members can view and access them more easily.

Preparing for board meetings with it has been much more efficient and cost-effective than mailing packets to our trustees. It also gives us stronger security for the documents and information we share. The program is very simple to navigate for what we need and there are additional features we'll likely start using over time. I also appreciate that when we suggest improvements, their team genuinely takes them into account as they continue enhancing the software.

As we work through different areas of the program, we regularly ask questions and point out issues that affect our process. One enhancement we requested for the survey feature was actually implemented and it ended up being very useful for our annual trustee survey. That said, we still run into problems when linking to documents outside of Govenda in our board books for meetings. We've asked whether the system can be improved so we can link directly to documents already uploaded in the platform's document storage section.

Pros

Managing meetings with this has been very simple, whether I'm adding new ones or making updates and changes. The offline access is especially useful and it helps us get materials out to users quickly.

Cons

Something that needs improvement is the automatic use of agenda logos and titles. Since we use it for several different meetings, we don't always want the bank's logo and name showing on every agenda. It would also help to attach multiple items to an agenda or to separate minutes and I wish those adjustments could be made from the app. More setup guidance in the settings tab would be useful too, along with a way for non-admin users to preview the agenda before it is officially published.
