“user friendly document control toolkit”

Pros

Getting around the system feels very natural and most features are user friendly enough that anyone reasonably comfortable with technology can start using it with little to no training. Documents open directly in the browser which makes it quick to scan through files and find specific details and the search tool makes that even faster. It also comes with built-in approvals, version control and retention for obsolete documents. The cloud access and mobile app are also really convenient when you need to work while away from your desk.

Cons

Doesn't go much beyond basic document retention. Some missing features would make a big difference for companies in highly regulated industries, including two-factor authentication, watermarks for obsolete documents and a way to clearly separate drafts from approved versions. The approvals process can also become an issue if people don't complete their reviews on time especially when revisions are made before every approval has been finalized.

“helpful for group sharing”

Pros

It works really well for sharing information across a large group. Setting things up in one place where everyone can easily find what they need is simple enough and makes collaboration much more convenient.

Cons

Would be better with a more useful calendar for keeping track of group schedules and a simpler way to invite multiple people into the workspace at the same time would also help.

“clean interface”

Pros

Interface is simple to navigate and the layout makes the system simple to use. The integrations are also a big plus and help make the platform feel much more capable and well-rounded.

Cons

The system should have whiteboarding tools along with stronger collaboration features especially things like full group chat support.

“secure collaboration that delivers”

Pros

Makes it simple to connect, communicate and work together with people inside an organization as well as external partners. Its biggest strength is how effortless collaboration feels, while still keeping security and safety firmly in place.

Cons

Interface could use some refinement. At times, it can be a bit confusing to move through the different options and settings so it definitely feels due for an update.

“strong integrations”

Pros

It is very simple to get started with it and you have plenty of flexibility to arrange and manage their workspace however they prefer.

Cons

One limitation is that if I remove myself from a workspace, I can no longer view it to manage user licenses and have to handle that through a report instead.

“Easy to adopt”

Pros

Among collaboration tools, this product really stands out. It handles everything quickly and without hassle and the setup makes adoption spread fast by letting you invite others to join or create new workspaces.

Cons

A downside is that it doesn't connect to company corporate directories so access governance ends up being handled by Workspace Managers. That often isn't maintained properly which can lead to weak workspace-level access controls and former employees still keeping access.

“A dependable hub!”

Pros

Working across larger teams and with external partners has been really effective with it. It's also been very useful for keeping everyone aligned and up to date with the latest materials.

Cons

Could be even better with stronger calendar features for tracking partners' schedules, plus a simpler way to invite multiple people into the workspace at once.

“capable file management for teams”

Pros

Where it really delivers is file management. The file-management tools are more capable than I expected, with support for folders and subfolders along with options to add comments to files, set notifications and even request approvals from specific users. It's also very helpful when working with multiple files at once and file uploads are surprisingly fast. We ended up signing up for a full one-year package and my team has found it genuinely useful. Before this, tracking down documents and making sure we had the latest version with everyone's updates was difficult and took a lot of time. Huddle has made that process much simpler for us. It has also improved the way we work with clients because we can set up separate workspaces for each one, keeping files secure and visible only to our team and that client. Overall, it has made project management much easier and it's hard to imagine how we managed without this collaboration and file management system.

Cons

The con is that it doesn't offer the full range of collaboration features some competing platforms have especially things like group chat and an interactive whiteboard.

“Our team loves it”

Pros

Right from setup, the interface felt user friendly and simple and getting everything configured didn't take much effort. End users have really enjoyed working with it which is probably why it tends to be the popular choice.

Cons

Its biggest limitation is around metadata and embedded attributes, where it feels a bit restricted. It does what we need for document collaboration but once it's used with Engineering project teams, it starts to show some strain.

“I recommend it”

Pros

Getting this product out across the team was simple because it's very user-friendly and that helped us reach strong adoption quickly. The strong security standards and relevant certifications are also a big deal for our business.

Cons

One limitation is that the same desktop tool can't access both US-based and non-US server files at the same time. It would be much better if both were available simultaneously.

“Collaboration done right”

Pros

To get new people started in it is very simple because the interface feels user friendly and doesn't require much training. File collaboration has worked flawlessly for us and the task feature is especially helpful since it handles reminders automatically. It offers the right mix of features without piling on unnecessary extras that just get in the way. The integration with MS Office is excellent as well. Bringing people into a workspace is simple, whether they're inside your organization or external to it and regardless of whether they've used it before. Also, their customer service has been outstanding.. questions are often answered within hours and they're open to suggestions for improving functionality.

Cons

What I'd still like to see improved is the calendar functionality especially for tracking the team's schedule more effectively.

“tools are amazing”

Pros

One thing that really works well is the document-level commentary and conversation feature especially when multiple people are reviewing the same file. Being able to compare different Word versions is also very useful. I also appreciate that it works offline and that the desktop application connects with Office so saving directly into it feels much more convenient. The approvals feature and calendar integration add a lot of value too.

Cons

Setting up teams is still confusing and it is not very clear what the best structure is supposed to be. There are times when certain people only need access to specific folders inside a file and one workaround is to create each person as a separate team but that does not seem ideal. I am also not sure whether there is a better method for handling that. Also, the task UX does not clearly show the key steps and integration with older operating systems and older Office versions can be a problem.

“flexible and user friendly for teams”

Pros

Getting started with it is very simple. The interface feels user friendly so new users and teams can begin working in it quickly without needing much training. It starts adding value almost right away. Another big advantage is how flexible it is. We use it across a wide variety of tasks, from bid management to customer engagement and even sharing innovation and it needs very little customization to support any of those uses.

Cons

Its ability to directly import and export tasks and diary entries from other systems like Outlook or Salesforce could be better.

“convenient file sharing and feedback”

Pros

Biggest advantages of using it is that our customers can access our files without hassle, then leave comments and share feedback without taking up extra space. It's very convenient for our team and simple to use day to day. Whenever an issue comes up, the customer support team is proactive and helps us quickly so we really appreciate this platform for that.

Cons

The only downside is having to invite people to workspaces one by one manually.

“slow platform and poor support”

Pros

I think being able to save project templates is a useful feature and one of the few things I appreciated.

Cons

Where we're located, the platform runs very slowly and there's no way to customize notifications. Also, customer service has been extremely poor, the training wasn't good and the upgrades have removed or ignored features we depended on heavily.
