Pros

Biggest strength is its customer support. The team is consistently helpful, friendly and always available when needed.

Cons

Using the software is very simple and I've even been able to walk others through it over the phone. My only frustration is that our company's main contact keeps changing. I'm not sure whether they're being reassigned internally or if there's a high turnover issue.

Loved using it... it has been a very reliable and secure place to store Board of Directors materials. The platform feels user friendly so it's simple to work with whether I'm on a laptop or an iPad. Whenever questions or issues come up, customer support has consistently been helpful and responsive.

Cons

Only real downside is that, with the pandemic and people meeting from different locations, Nasdaq BoardVantage still doesn't provide built-in audio or video conferencing or the ability to present content the way WebEx does from a laptop or iPad.

Since all of my boards use it, learning it once made it simple to use across the other companies as well.

Cons

Con is that not all of my boards are on the same version which can make access a bit tricky at times. For instance, there's an ongoing issue with continued access when using Safari.

For me, using it feels very simple and the outlines and markers make it simple to locate the right pages quickly.

It would be even better with improved thumbnail settings and stronger bookmarking options.

Uploading documents to build board presentation packages is very simple and once everything is finalized, it's just as simple for board members to access and review the materials.

Among all the software support teams I've dealt with, this customer service is by far the best. Every time I call with a question, the person on the other end always knows exactly how to help. I also really enjoy being able to edit files directly in the software and Presenter Mode is easily my favorite feature.

So any problems I've run into haven't really been caused by the software itself... they've been tied to my browser instead.

The software is simple to use and the tutorial at the beginning was really useful. Within just a few minutes, I was able to navigate the portal and use it efficiently.

Annotation tool has a bit of a learning curve. After each edit, you have to close it manually, otherwise it's easy to keep marking up the page when you're only trying to move to the next one.

After putting in the initial time to really learn the system and get comfortable navigating it, using it to review and annotate board documents has become very simple.

One downside is that processing and downloading new files feels noticeably slower than with other similar platforms I've used, such as Diligent.

Putting together a board book is very simple and it's just as simple to rearrange it whenever the schedule changes. I also really value being able to see who has logged into the system.

One thing I really appreciate is being able to upload a document in its original format. It saves me time whenever I need to make changes to a specific file later since I don't have to reload it or replace it.

At times, uploading a large document takes longer than expected although that could be due to Nasdaq or our company's bandwidth.

Everything is simple for all members to use and the way the books and materials are organized makes the layout clear and practical.

When annotations are deleted, they're removed permanently, even with tracking enabled. I dont like that!

One small issue comes up when assigning document permissions to users, the scrollbar is extremely thin. It would be more convenient if it were a little wider.

Having each applicant's bio available online, along with quick hyperlinks to areas staff have flagged as concerns, is incredibly helpful. Another big plus is being able to review the materials offline during virtual team meetings when internet access is weak or unavailable. I also really appreciate the 24/7 live support, finding out it was actually available at 2,00 a.m. Pacific Time was a very pleasant surprise.

Getting back to the original place in the software feels a little outdated. It takes more clicks than I expected and it would be more user friendly if links opened automatically in separate tabs or windows.

A secure and excellent tool overall. The customer service was outstanding and they helped me quickly resolve my issue getting access to the platform.

It would be better if some features were improved to make the platform more convenient to use especially when downloading documents.

Publishing a Board Book now takes only a fraction of the time it used to, needs three fewer people to put together and completely removes shipping costs. The survey module is really useful too especially with collaborative creation and built-in reporting. Also, creating communications through BV keeps emails more concise, targeted and attention-grabbing.

Cons

A downside is that extending a survey deadline can cause data loss and forces you to re-open the survey. Sharing presenter mode also feels awkward and more tiring than it should be.

Having so much functionality in one place has been really valuable. I can also go back to documents we've already completed which saves time and the mobile access makes it even more convenient. Also, it feels very secure.

Would be even better if it could integrate with Zoom meetings so users wouldn't have to split their attention between two screens.
