Really happy with how things turned out

Pros

The website is very easy to use, with a friendly interface and professionals who guided me through each step which makes it one of the best platforms for delivering high quality work compared to many other websites out there.

Cons

I have had to wait a long time for work approval and payments but I am still proud of my hardworking team who put in endless hours to make everything a success.

Terrible experience all around

Pros

Nothing that I like. They are not willing to pay participants and will do anything to avoid it. Plus I got confirmation that I completed a survey but then they said they would not compensate me for my time.

Cons

I did not get paid. I completed a survey on their site but then they said they could not pay me. It felt like a scam. They will come up with any excuse to avoid paying people.

Not something I'd suggest

Pros

It is a simple platform and there are lots of tasks to choose from. I made some money but since I was not tracking the payments, I suspect I have missed out on as many incentives as I have actually earned.

Cons

Some research companies do not pay and unfortunately, they always sides with them. I did several research tasks but never received payment from the provider. When I emailed them I just got a generic sorry email with no real apology.

A total scam!

Pros

There is nothing much to say. At first the surveys seem appealing to me with high payouts but keep in mind that whether you actually get paid depends largely on which company or researcher you end up with.

Cons

It is full of scammers and their customer service does not help me at all. They let scammers run wild without taking any action.

got ghosted and never got paid

Pros

Absolutely nothing at all. Honestly I wish I could give them zero stars.

Cons

I was finally invited to complete a $125 survey. However I never got paid and no one responded to my messages.

Easy to use and gets the job done

Pros

Let me highlight some of the benefits of Respondent's platform. It is known for its efficiency and ease of use with a clear interface that makes it easy to manage surveys. Plus they offer plenty of customizable survey templates that save time and improve the structure. Also it excels in targeting specific demographics with a large and diverse pool of respondents allowing for better accuracy in data collection. And the platform provides real time feedback and analytics which makes it easy to track progress and adjust as needed. With design and branding customization options, users can make surveys align with their brand and their customer support team is highly praised.

Cons

One major downside I noticed about it is its pricing. The platform charges a fee for every survey you complete which can be expensive for bigger or more complex surveys. This pricing may not suit those with a tight budget or those who need to run many surveys. And some users have faced issues with the quality of responses as not all respondents provide useful feedback. And while it has a large pool of people to choose from, it cannot guarantee accurate responses. Some users also feel limited by the customization options as it does not integrate with other tools like CRM software. Despite of all these issues it remains a popular choice for businesses due to its many strengths and features.

Great way to crowdsource tasks

Pros

I find Respondent really simple to use when it comes to finding studies or joining focus groups.

Cons

Well the website lets me filter tasks by recency and relevance but there is no way to save my preferences for future use.

Made research way more efficient

Pros

With its wide range of network of participants around the world, Respondent makes it easy for us to find people who meet specific research criteria. They pay participants which is far more affordable than traditional research methods like hiring a firm. Also it speeds up the process since businesses and researchers can find qualified participants quickly. Plus it offers participants a chance to make extra money by communicating with companies. And since respondents are pre-screened, the data gathered is generally more reliable than from other platforms.

Cons

It has a large network of participants which is good but because of this at times it can be hard for us to find people who meet very specific or niche demographic requirements. And for participants it is not always easy to qualify for every study due to the company's specific needs.

Works fine but needs tweaks

Pros

I have been using Respondent for over two years and it is so easy to use. Plus it is simple and useful and anyone can jump in and get the hang of it. What I really love is that you can sign up for research surveys where the pay is clear from the start. There is also a wide variety of surveys available including ones where you can get paid to do video calls. Overall it is great.

Cons

Of course it has its flaws just like any software. What I like least is that even if we qualify for a study, we are not always selected. Sometimes we do not even get notifications after completing the initial questionnaire. And it is disappointing because there is potential but it is not being fully utilized.

Helps find folks for interviews

Pros

There are lots of studies that match my work profile. Plus the best thing is that researchers post their requirements and participants can sign up to take part and earn money. I also like their referral program as it is pretty good too.

Cons

Personally I have completed many screener questionnaires for interviews but I have never been selected. It makes me question whether this platform is legit or not.

Waited long but the payment came

Pros

One thing I like most is that there are plenty of surveys and studies to join. Some involve one on one Zoom interviews, while others are in person depending on where you live and the current COVID-19 rules. And study payouts range from $25 and I have seen some going as high as $500.

Cons

It took me over a year to finally qualify for a study. There were times I almost gave up but I stuck with it. Not everyone will qualify for every study as some studies are specific to certain demographics like gender, location, age or even whether you work remotely. So keep in mind that this is not a platform where you can rely on a steady income. However I have read other reviews where some people earned hundreds per month depending on where they lived. The potential is there but I will say, do not expect to qualify for every study.

Easy cash just for sharing opinions

Pros

We can participate in user research surveys and get paid for it. And the best thing is that payments usually arrive within 10 days which is great.

Cons

They take 5% with no cap or at least $1 from users which I feel like is not ideal.

Hands down better than the rest

Pros

I only discovered Respondent a couple of months ago and I am really glad I did. Other research centers usually offer long surveys with tiny payouts around 50 cents but Respondent focuses more on video interviews and diary studies with payments ranging from $40 to $200. Plus the number of studies posted is consistent which I love. Overall it is an excellent platform for both researchers and participants.

Cons

I have two issues with it. First it takes 5 to 6 business days to get paid and I wish the payment process was quicker. Second they take 5% of the participant's payment which I think should be charged directly to the researchers instead.

Easy way to join studies

Pros

Respondent lets me join both moderated and unmoderated studies from various companies. I have tested software, apps and websites through this platform. They pay well for taking part in studies that aim to improve the web.

Cons

What I did not like about this platform is that we have to complete surveys regularly just to participate in studies. Plus there are very few studies where you actually get invited to join. I completed around 13 to 14 surveys but only received one invitation for a study.

love using it!

Pros

Well it has features for both the researcher and the participant. If you are a researcher, you will find things like unlimited projects and users, versatile participant screening, built in session reminders, easy payments and calendar integration with a pay as you go system. And as a participant, you will find the platform is easy to use and you can participate in both general and professional surveys. Also you can list skills in your profile e.g Cloud, Kubernetes to match better with surveys, and you can even earn tips.

Cons

I would say as a participant most surveys are focused on tech topics which are better suited for professionals. Plus the profile rating/review system is only visible to the researcher and not to the participant.
