“Keeps the creative process simple

Pros

What I really like about It is how easy it is to use. The interface feels very user-friendly and I love being able to customize stuff. There are a bunch of layout options and it's nice that I can share everything easily too.

Cons

The mobile version doesn't have as many features as the desktop one which can be frustrating when I'm trying to do more advanced stuff on my phone.

“Fun & easy to use

Pros

It helps me organize all the ideas floating around in my head, remember important stuff and come up with new thoughts. I use it to build mind maps and I often share them with my students and colleagues. Honestly I use it every single day.

Cons

I think the documentation could be way better. There were plenty of times it could've helped but it just wasn't detailed enough. That said the product itself is pretty easy to use.

“Handy little tool that does what I need

Pros

I remember using this app on my Android phone a few years back to make mind maps. It's free and worked pretty well overall. It was very easy to use and you could use it on both tablets and phones without any lag. I liked that I could customize the maps a little bit too. Overall it was a solid experience, no real problems and it helped me wrap up my mind maps quickly.

Cons

The app works great and I've never had issues with performance but honestly the design feels outdated like it's stuck in the early 2000s. It doesn't really let you modernize the look which is something I really care about. It doesn't affect how it works but I wish I could make it look a bit more stylish.

“One of my favorite tools for mind maps

Pros

This app helps me figure out all the possible options I can work with. I like that I can show illustrations and give examples to others, it makes explaining stuff way easier and quicker for them to understand.

Cons

There are some tools in the app with functions that aren't fully explained which makes it hard to use them properly. Aside from that, it's awesome.

“Visual mind mapping app

Pros

There are so many cool options to make mind maps look really nice. I love how creative I can get with the visuals in this app.

Cons

I wish there were more options to add standard visual elements like charts. Some of that integration is missing which would've been helpful.

“Awesome for anyone !

Pros

What I love most about It is how powerful and flexible it is for making nice-looking mind maps, timelines and even to-do lists all from my phone (I've got the Pro version on iOS). The developers keep it updated and have added some awesome features like Brainstorm mode. You can use ready-made templates or build your own from scratch and even save them to reuse later. I use it for everything ,creating characters, story planning, tracking school tasks and deadlines. Plus it syncs with OneDrive and lets me export in different file formats which is very handy.

Cons

If you buy the Pro version, it doesn't carry over across platforms. Like if you pay for it on iOS you still have to pay again for the Windows version. A lot of apps do that, so it's not super shocking. I mostly use it on my iPad anyway and it's cheaper on iOS than on Windows but it's something to know if you're thinking of upgrading.

“Great mobile app

Pros

It offers a ton of layout options and the Android app is fantastic. I've been using it on my phone since 2013! I first started using it when I was planning to launch my own consulting gig. It helped me create sitemaps, action plans, and mind maps that I could easily share with my team.

Cons

Saving custom templates is kind of a pain. You can't really save them easily so every time I want a specific layout, I have to recreate it from scratch.

“Super adaptable no matter how I think

Pros

One thing I like about this software is that it doesn't box you in. There are classic templates you can use but if you go with the freeform layout, you can design your mind map however you want. It gives you complete freedom.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the color schemes or the templates. They just don't look that nice and I feel like they could really use better design direction. When I need something more visual like flowcharts, fishbones or circular maps, I usually switch over to MindMaster instead because SimpleMind just doesn't have those.

“Must-have when I'm putting slides together

Pros

It feels very easy right from the start. There are alot of advanced features but they stay out of the way unless you actually need them which is awesome. The tutorial and help section are really well done too. Honestly this is how all software should be built.

Cons

Like a lot of touch-based apps, some functions aren't obvious. For example, you have to do a long press to select multiple things if you want to move a whole section of the mind map. Thankfully the help site walked me through it.

“I've recommended this more times than I can count

Pros

The program just makes sense when you're using it. There's a really detailed tutorial that's very useful once you're past the basics. It's packed with features but what I love most is how useful it is in so many ways. I'm constantly taking courses and reading stuff and this app is amazing for taking notes. I also use it for planning out projects, setting goals and organizing my schedule.

Cons

You have to pay separately for each device if you're using OneDrive for storage which kind of sucks. But other than that honestly this app is amazing.
